The gods have killed all the witches.

Well, one of them still survives. And thankfully, her sisters were able to take many of the gods with them. But when a goddess resurfaces to take over the human world, will our heroine accept a call to stop her? Or will she prefer to be left alone and live a simple, peaceful life by herself?

And what will she do if others come expecting her to help? After all, Afena is known to have killed a god by herself. How can she escape that kind of reputation?

<p>The convenient thing about dreams is that they don't have to be coherent or consistent in their narrative. One can start a dream at any given moment of any situation, and the mind will either provide it with unseen and illogical context, or not even worry about context at all.</p>

<p>It had probably been the talk during the day about the alevs, and how gods had created them to be their bed companions. Rudsis dreamt that night. It all started with him fighting Treni, both wielding their swords masterfully. This time, however, every time Treni blocked one of his attacks, her arms trembled under the force of his blows.</p>
