Of Time and Deceit

Getting through the forest with the help of the vusok, Afena finally arrived at the mountain where she knew the diamond to be. The ubtir never made contact with her, but she didn't mind. There was no need to befriend the thing, and it was probably eager to get back to its normal life. When that would be, Afena didn't know, but there was a good chance it would go away when it perceived Afena reached the place she intended.

She was there now, with a very bothersome problem. First, she'd need to find the entrance to enter the mountain. Second, she'd have to find a way to go through said entrance. Eninas always made them small so that only something the size of a squirrel could enter. Not even Inarenta magic would allow her to do that.

"I'm going to have to wait until nightfall," she whispered to herself. "And see if I remember my charts."
