AFENA
Afena lay on the bed without knowing what to think. There was nothing else to do, since her muscles refused to do as she told them. There was probably some dizziness, but she wasn't sure.
"I'm not even sure what's going to happen to me," she said out loud, and sighed after a deep breath. "More suffering, I'm sure. That's all I'm good for. That's all that seems to be in store for me."
Strangely, she didn't feel upset, or cheated, nor even manipulated. When Treni tried to speak with her, the only reason she didn't answer was that it was impossible. Afena wouldn't have minded chatting with the green goddess. She wasn't even mad with Rudsis. There was no resentment, nor disappointment.
"Have I truly stopped caring?" she wondered. "Am I finally indifferent to everything now?"
