Some weeks passed. Irimena took to reading very quickly, and the ghost riding her emotions had her sneaking into the library at night to learn about the runes. Afena still had not taught the sigils to them, and Irimena was having trouble figuring out their use without some guidance. Apparently, she'd need to understand the first tongue in order to be able to use them.
Knowing it was better to manipulate the girl as little as possible, the ghost never allowed the her to feel her mounting frustration. Thankfully, she was curious, and once set on a path, Irimena was able to rationalize her actions, and keep going on her own.
Tired and frustrated, slamming a book shut because she could not readily understand it, Irimena got up, took one of the many candles illuminating her work desk, and walked around the shelves. The ghost saw an opportunity, concentrated, and transferred dark desires of control and deception to her victim.
