Tilal's stomach growled, and she let out a frustrated, silent grunt through her nose.
"Are you alright?" asked Rosel in a whisper.
They'd stayed a little behind from the others. A group of six people had decided to follow Irimena back to Silverdawn, and start a new life there. Treni and Rudsis had made sure to follow them, of course, and infiltrate the town with their guises.
"I've never felt hunger before," Tilal answered, making sure no one else could hear them. "It's vexing. I would cherish the chance to punch someone."
Rosel chuckled. "You're one of those."
"Of which those?"
"There are people that get angry when they're hungry."
"Everyone should get angry when hungry. This is infuriating. And the smell only makes it worse."
A fire had already been lit, and everyone except them was already sitting around it, waiting for the evening meal to finish cooking.
