It was a few minutes past 10 when I walked back to our room. I was secretly hoping that Jade decided to sleep with Zhanat after what happened in the kitchen.

I can only pursed my lips together when I saw her on her bed, reading a finance book.

She brought a book and she's reading, totally unbothered. Arlan and Miras aga were already fast asleep in their own beds. I laid down on my bed next to hers and got inside my blanket with as little noise as I could manage. I made the blanket cover me from head to toe and I pulled out my phone and earphones from my pocket.

Music is one of my favorite distractions. I hope this will distract me from my thoughts tonight.

It was already 12 midnight but I'm still wide awake, thinking about the things I can say to her tomorrow and things I can do to make everything okay again.
