Her Truth pt. 2

"Risk what Jade?" I half-shouted as I jogged after her.

"Nothing really. I just want you to stay away."

"I didn't understand anything you said. What did you mean you were masquerading with me?" I grabbed her arm and pulled her to a stop.

"Exactly what I meant. I am not sweet, nor kind, nor helpless as you might have been thinking. You are getting awfully comfortable with me and I don't want that."

She wrenched her arm off of my hold and continued walking.

I stood there, getting scared that my suspicions from last night are actually true.

"So… you're saying you are not the Jade we know?" I asked, following after her.

"Yes."

"And that you're planning to act as the real you?"

"Yes. But only to you. To everyone else I'll be as kind and sweet and innocent."

"But why? And what kind of person exactly are you Jade?"

She chuckled.
