Foolish

We circled back the trail for four hours. We were slow because the path was dangerous with the ice. We stayed for some time in Lake Kaindy before walking back down.

It was nearly dark when we arrived at camp. Dilnur took charge of lighting the fire while Miras aga and the women prepared the ingredients for dinner.

"What's for dinner aga?" I asked Miras aga as we huddled around the fire ring once more.

"Beef and potatoes," he answered.

"You seem quite," he said after a moment.

I looked up from staring at the fire and realized that I am the only one not talking to anybody.

"Is there a problem?"

"No aga. I'm just thinking about the travel plans next month."

"Your life will get busy again. But at least you have a very competent manager to help you around."

I smirked.

"Yeah."

"What did you two talk about? You seem out of it after the hike."
