why aren't you sleeping?

When the meal was over, a big stone pot filled with water was placed over the fire. This raised Keira's question of what the motive of this man for doing so. The latest incident of him trying to smoke her alive has made her worried with his extraordinary way of thinking.

"Why are you boiling water when we don't have a bathtub?" She commented as soon as she recalled that this quantity was by far enough for taking a few laps of swimming.

He pointed his finger in the direction of Keira's ring, and turned his attention back to the boiling water.

The motion made the purple eyes widen in surprise "How did you know about this?!"

"There's nothing to worry about. Your secrets are safe with me," Master explained, ignoring how fazed she was.

The throbbing in her temples was getting worse with the attitude of the undeserved-handsome-looking male "Why don't you just tell me who you are?"

There was a silence between them. Keira thought she was about to hear the answer that she needed.

".. I'm your master," he answered, breaking her hope; she was too naive to underestimate his solid mouth.

"Now cast a bathtub," he added, lifting the stone pot out of the fire.

Keira dropped her jaw. She couldn't believe that a few words could make her hang up the wall like this.

'He's amazingly awful at communication' She stopped to challenge herself further and take off the ring from her finger. What's the matter, anyway? He already knew about it.

She placed the ring on the ground and conjured it into a wooden bathtub.

There's not a single trace of emotion in the man face when a large wooden bathtub suddenly emerged out of thin air, as if this was just another day in his life seeing a tub sprout out of a ring. He poured the hot water into the tub and went out to shovel water from the river, filling the tub until it was full.

She watched his movement as he made his way toward the left corner of the cave, where a pile of stuff was hidden from view by an animal hide. He lifted the hide up, grabbed a dress from underneath, and handed it to her. "Put this on when you're done bathing."

"..." Keira nodded, watching him walk to the rim of the cave, where he leaned his back on the wall and guarded the cave entrance.

Turning her face back, she scanned the dress that the man had just handed her, a camisole thigh-length dress, perfect for home or bed wear; the fabric was smooth and soft like silk, the same fabric as what master was wearing.

Stepping closer to the bathtub, she took off her clothes, revealing her feminine body with fuller breasts and curvy hips. The radiance of her complexion suggested that her health was slowly improving.

After she finished bathing, she wiped herself dry with an animal hide, and put on the new dress. As soon as the fabric touched the skin, it was warm, contrasting with how thin and slippery it looked.

Holding her gaze at the dress, she thought about the man who gave it to her and decided to go to the front of the cave and check on the master. The temperature was growing colder, and she didn't want him to stay outside for too long "Master, I'm done let's come inside the cave."

The voice of the female has woken him up from his nap. This past few days, he hasn't gotten any sleep due to caring for Keira. The female must have thought that she had just fallen into the river yesterday. when, in truth, she was unconscious for three days. He then stepped into the cave.

There was a space of time when his gaze stopped on her dress, but Keira couldn't see his eyes and was unable to read his expression.

Walking over to the bathtub, he raised it up, leaving Keira staring at him with her mouth wide open. This man had just lifted a full bathtub as if it weighed nothing. He ignored the bright eyes that watched him and went out to pour the water away.

"Unbelievable" She mumbled under her breath and shuffled to where he had set the bathtub down.

She touched on the surface, and it turned back into a ring at her contact. Due to the difference in size of the conjured item, the ring sailed through the air before bouncing to the ground. She leaped and caught it mid-roll, put it on her finger, sighed in relief, and made her way to the straw bed.

Laying down, she tugged herself into a blanket. This was when she started missing her phone. But what's the point of having a phone anyway when this world has no internet and no electricity?

"I will go to take a wash. I won't be far, you should sleep first." Master's voice brought her out of her thoughts, she cast a glance at him as a response.

Keira woke up, her gaze was staring at the ceiling, she fell into thought as to how worried Frost would be after he found out that she was missing.

The amethyst color turned darker, she should find a way to return to the wolf tribe and let him know that she's still alive.

"Why aren't you sleeping?" A deep voice caught her attention, making her turn to watch the incomer.

A tall figure wrapped in animal hide at the waist entered the cave. Revealing a broad, muscular chest that was splattered with droplets of water. His long, golden hair, wet from a recent shower, was tucked snugly over his shoulder as he wiped it with a tiny animal hide.

He drew nearer, seating down on the straw bed next to Keira. "Why are you looking so sad? Do you feel any discomfort?" He inquired as he reached out, touching her forehead for a fever.

"No... I just missed the wolf tripe, There's a person who cares about me. How I vanished without a trace must worry him" With tears in her eyes, Keira said to her master.

After seeing how distressed she had become, he took her into his arms and rubbed her back tenderly.

It's been a handful of minutes until the female gradually regained her composure and wiggled slightly to let him know that she was fine again.

The two separated as he lifted his hands to cup her face. At the point where their faces were only a hand's distance apart, the female moved in silently. Her attention was drawn to the bandage over his eyes, and she reached up to touch it. "What happened to your eyes," she asked softly.

He gently brushed her cheeks and answered, "It's fine."

"Then why did you cover them?"

"I only untie the bandage when it is necessary." The tone of his response made it clear that he did not want her to asking further. She could sense that he was hiding something, but decided not to push him. She respected his boundaries and knew that he would tell her when he was ready.

When she had stopped questioning, he gently drew his hands away and helped her lay down on the bed, before leaning down to lie next to her.

Startled Keira when he inched her into his arms and caressed her hair softly while saying, "Don't fear... I'm here."

She had no idea what he meant, but she felt warm and fuzzy upon hearing his words. Even though it was a strange meeting and she only knew him briefly, It was odd that her gut instinct had reassured her that this guy wouldn't hurt her in any way.

Multiple days passed, Keira has completely healed. She put her belongings into the cloak, which she has tied into a backpack and prepared to resume her trip.

When she opened her mouth to bid farewell to master, he cut her off, saying, "We should get out of here before the snow begins." He then grabbed her bag off her shoulder, "I'll bring you to the mystic forest, my house's there, and It'll take around two days to walk,"

That's completely left keira aside, stunned by what he just did.

But she wanted to return to the wolf tribe, Frost must be very concerned now that so much time has passed since she was last seen. "Hey Wait," she said, reaching for her bag. The male, however, was faster, and he seized the female's hand and held it firmly.

Keira groaned as she tried and failed to remove her hand. "Actually, I want to go back to the Wolf tribe. I should tell them that I'm fine."

After taking in Keira's words, he creased his brows in thought. To get to that far tribe, she would have to travel through the wilderness, which he didn't think was a good plan given the weather predicted. "Wolf beastmen live up in the mountains." As he turned his attention skyward, he warned,

"If you want to go there, it will take about ten days of trekking, and shortly it will start snowing. The air was too cold for you to go there right now, Keira." Master's warning was full of concern.

Without wasting any time, he lifted up Keira and cradled her in his arms. A bag filled with food was the next thing he slung over his shoulder. The frigid air was following them, and he knew they had to depart swiftly.

After hearing the reasoning, Keira felt nervous. She didn't know what to do; the ten-day journey was nowhere close distant for her human frame, and the weather was clearly about to become severe. She gave herself an anxious tic and nibbled her lip, annoyed by the complexity of the situation.

"We need to get moving." He clutched Keira more firmly and sprinted into the forest.
