Things deviate from the track

Victoria Garcia fell asleep only at dawn, and surprisingly, she woke up at noon.

Seeing the time, she jumped out of bed in shock.

When she went downstairs, Arnold Johnson was nowhere to be seen; instead, she saw a note he'd left behind.

"Wait for your mother at home, Allen will take you home. Also, there are handmade wontons in the refrigerator, and chicken soup in the pot."

Arnold Johnson's kitchen was so clean that it didn't smell of smoke or food, the only hint was a pot of hot chicken soup.

When she opened the refrigerator door, she discovered that in addition to the wontons, there were the ingredients for the wonton soup: canola greens, shiitake mushrooms, a bit of minced ginger and chopped spring onions and the seasoning.

The soup was chicken soup, the aroma divine.

Many people prefer shrimp stuffing or seaweed, or chili oil added in, but she loved wontons cooked in chicken soup with canola greens and shiitake mushrooms the most.

Could Arnold Johnson also like it?

Victoria didn't ponder this question for too long as she was fully occupied by the delicious food.

As she left, she glanced at the spacious minimalist decoration, the primary color was white, and the furniture and appliances were mostly black or gray, giving hardly a warm feeling.

But Victoria found this quite appealing, for she was a minimalist herself.

Besides, she believed that no matter where, a place would feel warm if you were with a loved one, and that the style of decoration was just icing on the cake.

When she stepped out of the villa, Allen appeared in front of her, respectfully calling out: "Miss Garcia".

If it weren't for Allen addressing her that way, she would have almost forgotten about her golden spoon upbringing.

On the way home, Victoria called her three sisters and asked them to return home early.

The place where Victoria was currently living was in the southern part of Metropolis. People in Metropolis believed in the saying "Rich north, poor south".

The accommodation was a simple old-style building with a triple residence on the 6th floor, cold in winter and hot in summer. From her earliest recollecting, she and Younger Sister shared a room, Amelia Wilson and Hannah Garcia shared another room, and their mother had her own room.

When they first moved in, Amelia spoke bitterly of Terry Garcia every day, claiming that he had no right to be a father.

Not only did he abandon his wife and children, he also schemed to take over the Brown Group, which originally belonged to Josephine Garcia.

Even now, she couldn't understand how Terry, as a husband and a father, could be so heartless and ruthless.

When her three sisters were gathered around, Victoria felt warmth in her heart. Soon, her mother would join them and their family would be reunited. Seeing her sister's smiling faces, she knew her decision was right.

"Big sis, mom really can be released, I knew she was wronged!" Evelyn Garcia's voice was the sweetest.

"Of course! Mom can't even kill a chicken, she always buys processed chicken meat." Hannah Garcia was the sassiest.

"From what I see, Turner Brown is guilty of many wrongs. He deserves to be punished." Amelia's words were as strong and fiery as her personality.

Turner was the brother of their grandpa Gerald Brown, and should be respectfully addressed as "great uncle". However, they've always addressed the people from the other side of the family by their names.

At that moment, Victoria received a phone call. The man on the other end had just spoken a few sentences when she screamed out: "Impossible!"
