Things deviate from the track 2

Hearing Victoria Garcia's scream, her three sisters each had a different reaction.

"Older Sister, what's wrong?"

Their voices seemed to come from the sky, faint and distant. Her ears were ringing, and the only thing that echoed in her mind was the sentence from the phone: Josephine Garcia died in a car accident.

"How could this happen... How could this happen..."

When they arrived at the hospital, Josephine's exposed face was ghastly pale. Her eyebrows were tightly knitted, and no amount of smoothing would calm them, evidencing the fact that she died in deep resentment.

Yes, she had four daughters, none of whom were married yet. How could she possibly pass away in peace?

"Mom..."

Continuous sobs rang out, and Victoria stood there, her tears never stopping.

Later, the police informed her that the accident happened in an accident-prone area. The car her mother was in collided with a large truck. The two people in the car died instantly. The truck driver was also injured and was the one to call for help.

No matter how they looked into it, it was just an unforeseen traffic accident.

When Arnold Johnson appeared, he and Victoria were the only ones left in the room.

"Victoria, I am truly sorry. I didn't expect it to turn out like this." Everything was within Arnold's control, except for this sudden car accident.

Victoria looked at Arnold with entangled emotions. Looking at her mother on the hospital bed, she felt a surge of anger towards him. She was truly angry at him.

"Why did you approach me? Why did you want to help me?" Victoria's words were mixed with her tears, "If you hadn't initiated that goddamn deal with me, my mother might still be in prison, but at least she would still be alive."

"At least she would still be alive!!!"

Victoria's later words were almost screamed out.

Arnold didn't say anything, he just pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly.

Victoria pushed him with all her strength, but when she couldn't get him away, she tilted back her head and screamed, "Ah…"

The amount of agony and self-blaming in her heart was reflected in how much she hated herself at this moment.

"Let me go! I don't want to see you!" How much she hated herself at this moment was equal to how much she hated the man before her.

Although he had done everything to help her and she had willingly agreed to it, at this moment, she couldn't stop herself from hating him.

Nevertheless, Arnold ignored her words and just held her tight, silently exerting all his strength, as if afraid she would disappear from his side.

Seeing he wouldn't let go, Victoria couldn't control her emotions, she stretched out her hands and pulled open his clothes harshly, finally, she bit down hard on his bare shoulder.

Despite this, Arnold didn't even flinch and remarkably comforted her in a low voice, "Everything will be alright."

She didn't know how much time had passed, but when Victoria loosened her grip, she tasted blood. A circle of blood-stained teeth marks starkly stood out on Arnold's shoulder.

Looking up at Arnold, there was not a trace of blame or anger in his eyes.

Finally, when Arnold left, all she remembered was his last words as he walked away: "You still have me!"
