Things deviate from the track 3

Regal Edifice, Arnold Johnson's office.

Keith Lee stood in front of Arnold Johnson. Although cold sweat didn't break out on his forehead, his body was already soaked in it.

"How's the investigation going?" Arnold's voice was low and expressionless.

Keith Lee stepped forward and reported the main findings: "Chester, who was arranged to pick up Josephine Garcia, is a temporary driver with a clean background. We've checked all his related accounts and found nothing suspicious. The background of the truck driver is also clean. He's been in this line of work for 5 years. We've also checked the accounts of everyone related to him, and nothing unusual showed up."

Arnold's eyes flashed with sharpness, and he said coldly, "So, no matter how you look at this, it's an accidental traffic incident?"

Keith Lee thought for a moment and went through all the information he had in his mind before gritting his teeth and replying, "Yes."

"I have a big problem: I never believe in accidents." Despite everything appearing to fall into place, Arnold thought the accident was too coincidental. Coincidentally, Chester took that road, and so did the truck driver.

Chester took that road because it was shorter, while the truck driver took it because it was his usual route.

Indeed, no matter how you look at it or try to dissect it, it was a traffic accident with no loopholes.

Keith Lee solemnly and earnestly responded, "I will continue to monitor everyone involved in this traffic accident."

"You go ahead and send people to arrange Josephine's funeral."

"Understood."

As Keith Lee left, Arnold closed his eyes slightly, his mind filled with Victoria Garcia's breakdown and her resentful expression towards him.

He thought he had calculated everything carefully, but an accident happened at the most critical time?

Victoria didn't accept Arnold's arrangement for her mother's funeral. She simply held a ceremony to mourn Josephine's passing before the friends and family visit.

Ironically, none of their relatives attended, not even Terry Garcia.

Josephine had hardly any friends. In her youth, she considered her cousin Clara Brown as her only best friend. However, Clara secretly got involved with Terry, Josephine's husband, and gave birth to her daughter, Mia Garcia, three months after Josephine had given birth to Victoria.

Only two neighbors Josephine had met in recent years attended.

Unexpectedly, the long-absent Frank Johnson appeared. The eighteen-year-old young man exuded a cold aura, just like his uncle, Arnold.

Frank sincerely kowtowed to Josephine three times.

Afterward, he silently stood aside, occasionally glancing at Third Garcia, Evelyn. However, Evelyn kept her head down, sobbing and not looking at anyone.

It wasn't until everyone had dispersed that Frank finally saw himself in Evelyn's eyes.

Only two words: indifferent.

She still resented him.

With just a single glance, Evelyn's gaze never again rested on him. Her long hair veiled half of her face, the side hidden from where Frank stood...
