Gang Mission

AN: Sorry. I updated the wrong chapter previously. My bad. I just fixed it.

Later that day, Hisoka and Ken, along with five other people, went out of the secret base and headed to the pier in the town. Once they arrived, they got on a small boat and left the harbor.

About an hour later, they reached an island surrounded by coral reefs. Ken slowed down the boat to a crawl and carefully steered the boat toward the shore.

"This island looks deserted."

Said Hisoka as soon as he landed on the island. There was no one else on the island besides them except for a few Krabby that were crawling away.

"They should arrive in any minute now."

Said Ken as he jumped off the boat.

"Who are we waiting for again?"

He turned to Ken.

"A gang from Hoenn. We are going to trade some Pokemon with them."

Ken replied casually.

Selling Pokemon was against the law. Since it was easy for the League to track the transactions that were done through the Pokemon Transfer System, most of the deals were handled face to face.

"Boss, they have arrived."

At this time, a young man came up to them and pointed toward the sea.

They turned to where the man was pointing and saw a boat coming toward them.

From here, he could see there were around seven people on the boat. The leader was a purple-haired man in brown clothes. After the boat stopped at the beach, the people on board got off one by one.

"These guys are members of the Rock gang. I heard they are a part of a crime syndicate in Hoenn called Team Magma. We have cooperated with them once. This is our second time. We only need to make sure they keep up their end of the deal."

Ken explained to him as they approached the gang members.

"It's good to see you, guys. I hope your journey was smooth?"

Said Ken with a big smile.

The leader with the purple hair crossed his arm, clearly unimpressed.

"Hmph! Let's get on with it. Do you have the money?"

"Certainly!"

He snapped his fingers.

Then, a man stepped forward and placed the metal box he was carrying right in front of Ken.

He lifted the lid of the box to reveal the content inside.

"As promised, ten million dollars in cash. Now, where is the stuff you promised us?"

He said after closing the box.

"Open it up."

The leader said to his men while moving aside. A large box lay on the ground. When they cast their eyes over, they saw thirty regular Pokeballs lying inside the box.

Ken went closer to the box and scanned the content one by one. After making sure there was no problem, he asked his man to hand the money to them.

"Nice doing business with you."

The leader shook Ken's hand before he turned to leave.

Once the Rock gang member left on a boat, Ken finally let out a sigh of relief.

"Is that it? So should we head back now?"

Hisoka asked. He did nothing during this time.

"Yeah, that's it. Let's leave."

Ken replied with a smile. He then turned to his men and told them to send the box to the boat.

"Well, that was too easy."

He murmured softly.

Soon they all were back on the boat. After securing the box inside the boat, Ken turned on the engine and slowly left the island.

About halfway through the journey back to Tarroco Island, Hisoka suddenly felt a chill on his back for no reason.

Swoosh!

"Get down now!"

He shouted as he ducked for cover. At the same time, he also threw a Pokeball out.

"Gardevoir! Protect!

"Got it, Hisoka!"

Gardevoir's voice rang inside his head.

She appeared in the sky and raised a barrier around the whole boat. Just a few seconds later, several cannonballs reach them. The energy shield rippled under the force of the cannonballs.

She then released a massive discharge of psychic energy, sending the cannonballs away.

"Damn! It's those guys from Stinger Pirates!"

Ken quickly stood up after the attack was over. When he saw who fired those cannonballs just now, he roared out in anger.

In front of them was a peculiar-looking ship. It looked just like a pirate ship that came out of One Piece anime.

There were three cannon tubes sticking out on both sides of the ship. Three of them were letting off a wisp of smoke. It was obvious that someone had used the cannon to attack them just now.

A man in an orange hat was standing at the bow of the ship.

"Laszlo!"

Ken recognized the man on the ship. They used to be in the same gang before Stinger Pirates destroyed it.

"Hello there. It's been a long time since I saw you, Ken."

Laszlo tipped his hat.

"Would you please kindly hand over all of your stuff? I promise I won't kill you if you do that?"

"Over my dead body."

Ken replied loudly.

"It's your funeral. Brothers! Release the Tentacruel! Let's show them the power of our Stinger Pirates! Don't show them mercy."

"Yo-ho!"

Excited roars came from the ship.

With the sound of something being snapped open, a Tentacruel appeared on the surface of the water, followed by a few dozen more Tentacruel. Soon, they began to approach them in a circle.

"Attack them!"

Laszlo cackled with laughter.

Seeing the large number of Tentacruel coming toward them, Ken suddenly felt his legs going soft.

"Hisoka, what should we do? There's no way we will be able to beat them all."

He swallowed hard in fear. He was starting to lose his confidence.

"Leave this to me."

Hisoka replied while releasing Milotic from her Pokeball.

Meanwhile, Laszlo took out his Tentacruel and told it to tell the other Tentacruel to fire Poison Sting.

When the Tentacruel were within reach, they raised their heads and fired Poison Sting at them. The leader of the group of Tentacruel was under Laszlo's control. This was the reason Stinger Pirates could control so many Tentacruel at the same time.

Seeing the dangerous Poison Sting falling from the sky like rain, everyone on the boat froze in fear. However, Hisoka remained calm.

"Milotic! Use Surf to block the Poison Sting!"

"Gardevoir! Stay on guard! Make sure those Poison Sting doesn't hit us!"

Under everyone's desperate eyes, a large wall of water was raised from the sea, blocking the Poison Sting shot by Tentacruel.

A few of them that managed to break through were all flung away by Gardevoir.

"We are safe!"

Everyone on the ship jumped in happiness. They didn't think they could survive that just now. It was truly a miracle.

"Don't be too happy. This is not over yet. There are more to come."

Hisoka said coolly. His eyes were focused on those Tentacruel.
