Chapter 4 The Lone Stranger

A gunshot had been fired, but to Gabe's surprise, he had not been shot. Standing on the porch of the tavern and in front of the doors was Mark who had thrown a throwing knife at the gun before the Lone Stranger fired it, causing the gun to be dropped and intentionally missed from the target. "Hey kid, it was pretty stupid to go off on your own like that," Mark said with a serious face, showing he means business.

"So, if it isn't the Red Terror himself." Gabe was confused. "What does he mean Drunken Master?" Mark explained. "It's my nickname that I used to go by when I was a part of Purple Reaper." Gabe put the pieces together, he then thought, 'Wait a minute, if there is a red terror, wouldn't there be a blue terror?' Mark then walked off the porch and onto the ground where the Lone Stranger was. "I've always wanted to test my skills on such a formidable opponent, and now I have the chance." He then proceeded to take off his Trenchcoat. "I challenge you to a dual, one revolver, 10 paces." Mark was silent for a minute, looking as serious as ever. "Fine, if I win, then I never wanna see your face again." The Lone Stranger then laughed menacingly. "Whatever." The Lone Stranger then reached for his revolver on the ground, only to try and shoot again, but was foiled by a throwing knife once again. "Also, no tricks or the next time you try that, I won't let you pick up your gun and will just end your life." The Lone Stranger knew he was serious. "Fine, fine. Have it your way." He picked up his revolver once again and didn't try the same trick.

The two were back to back at the moment and waited in place. "10 paces!" They then began to move step by step, 1 step, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and all of a sudden the Lone Stranger turned around and aimed toward Gabe. "I WIN!" He pulled the trigger, all of a sudden Gabe's life flashed before his eyes. Just then, Mark appeared in front of Gabe and deflected the bullet with a knife. "Wha..What the hell!?" Both the Lone Stranger and Gabe were in shock, 'how the hell did he move that fast?!' Gabe thought to himself. "I told you that if you were to pull a trick like that again, then I would end your life." Mark aimed his Revolver at The Lone Stranger and fired, he then collapsed to the ground with blood coming from his head. Gabe and Mark thought it was all over, just then. "I'm...not….done….." Mark and Gabe looked back, only to see he was just barely alive with a bullet hole in his head.

"I….will...have...your….bounty….soon…." Just then, the lone Stranger began to have his skin slowly break off and turn into dust, only to reveal that underneath his skin was another person who looked to be completely dead. Mark and Gabe were shocked, but Mark turned around and walked back to the Tavern. Gabe was in shock after he had witnessed this, he had never seen somebody die before, and it hit him like a bullet to the heart. "Listen, kid, I want to train you and protect you. I will teach you to be a bounty hunter like me and you will be able to defend yourself...and by the way, in this job, you need to just accept that death happens…." Gabe didn't say a word, he just looked at the body in shock. "The West chose to make money crucial, now we must kill or be killed." Gabe then walked toward the Tavern, still silent and in shock, he then walked in before Mark and sat down at a table, not saying another word.

Meanwhile, in an unknown town.

"So….one of them were defeated by the Red Terror…." A man sat on a throne in a building, he looked to have a group of people standing in the room with him like an army, he had been sitting in the shadows on his throne, looking quite mysterious. "Well then...I guess I will have to send more...." All of a sudden, one of the men stepped forward to reveal himself as the Lone Stranger. "This time...I will have that bounty…"
