I shrugged into my pack and looked back at Machu Picchu. Our two week visit to the place and the surrounding area had passed by quickly. We spent several days in the Amazon before arriving, exploring the river and the jungle and meeting indigenous people.
We made love, of course. We also enjoyed local food and some of the more risqué vegetation in the surrounding jungle. I was amazed at the response a body could have from simple plants. It had been everything I could have imagined the trip to be. There was no saving the world or drama. There were no snobby kids or egotistical, frightened instructors. We stayed together 24/7 and never had a problem. And just like I promised, I made Dash hike all the way up the mountain. At the top of the mountain, he sent the others away and we had that quickie he had once promised we would have when we arrived.
"You ready?" Kyler asked. "Dash says we either teleport from up here or he's staying."
