Chapter 50: Cassandra

I asked. "She driving Ruby crazy?"

"She doesn't have time to drive Ruby crazy. She's too busy driving the construction workers crazy. She keeps changing the design of the new academy. She keeps telling them that the male bathrooms can only have toilets. No urinals. It pisses them all off but it's funny as hell." Oliver squeezed my hand. "And believe it or not, she really misses everyone."

Music began playing and Oliver quickly left my side to stand near the entrance to the ritual hall. He waved to the crowd of people yelling his name, his face turning red. I was sure he wanted out of the kingdom as soon as possible.

Ruby appeared and everyone stood. Her beauty was unmatched by any woman I'd ever laid eyes on. She looked our way and smiled and then waved. The people cheered and chanted her name. They threw roses which landed on the steps leading to where Ruby stood.
