Landlord Coalition

"I don't know, it might be because I am mentally less mature than a child," Jin-ah smiled as she knew she got Haru perfectly. The puffed-up cheeks with the look of 'You know I was joking' was perfect, too bad she didn't get to enjoy it for long.

"I-I'll let you have it later," Jin-ah looked away with a terrified face since she happen to see Queresha looking at her with a full smile.

Yeah, that was the last thing you'd want to see unless you're Haru, because to Jin-ah it translates to 'You better stop fucking around' look.

"Yay, Thank you Jin-ah," Haru gave her a big hug.

'Is he that easy to win over?' Dok-ja was sure that it couldn't this easy right, right?

"We need to be more careful so that he doesn't get dragged into a trap because of this," Hee-won pointed out.

"I don't think that would happen," San-ah laughed nervously.

"That would be great," Hee-won said blankly. If anyone in this group was the most mentally immature it was Haru, Of course only when something sweet is involved.

"Hey Jin-ah what is the room those guys were talking about?" Haru got to the main point since he got what he wanted.

"Fufu, You have asked the right person, Let this senior educate you," Jin-ah raised her nose up with a smirk and explained about the rooms.

Throughout the station, designated safe zones have been established. The safe zones can accommodate varying numbers of individuals, with some able to shelter up to 20 people and others only capable of housing a single person. As desperate individuals struggle to secure a spot in these limited safe zones, intense battles and conflicts have erupted throughout the station.

That is a short but sweet explanation. – Courtesy to Jin-ah.

"So, Have any questions?" Jin-ah spoke as she crossed her arms with a smug look. She explained everything that was happening at the station by showing them a map she drew.

"How long do I have to hold this up?" Before anyone else could Alea asked, she was the one holding up the drawing while Jin-ah explained.

"You can let it go, I think everyone saw what they needed to," Alea did as Haru said smiling brightly since she was free from her job.

"Who is the landlord coalition?" Queresha asked while remembering that this group held the second basement floor in its entirety.

'Why are they still alive?' Dok-ja thought since Jung-hyeok should've taken care of them by now.

"They are a group that was here before we came, their leader is Gong Pil-du," Alea said with a frown.

'This is a little weird, Jung-hyeok should've taken care of Pil-du by now,' In the novel, Dok-ja had read, Gong Pil-du was one of the ten evils which were basically the villains.

"Did you have any clashes with them?" Haru asked since Alea looked a little pissed.

"Yes on the day we came, They don't let other people access the bathroom or have drinking water unless you pay them, they are a pain," Jin-ah said as both of those facilities were placed on the second basement floor.

"What? How can you stop someone from using public facilities?" Hee-won frowned even more.

"It is because the people are ok with it, The landlord coalition is the largest group in Chungmuro, even the people we came with do not want to fight them, Hell they even offer up their coins as rent to stay on Pil-du's floor because that place looks safer to them," Alea explained the reason.

The group was able to continue its tyranny because the people tolerated it. Hee-won could see that Alea and Jin-ah didn't take action because there was no one to rely on, they were just alone even the group they were with didn't want any trouble.

"Hyung, I need to go to the toilet," Gil-young pulled Dok-ja's shirt slowly. It seemed like the kid was holding it in for some time now.

"I guess we should go to the toilet to freshen up a bit before we talk any further," Haru said with a small smile.

"Yeah," Hee-won agreed as well.

'I don't have a good feeling about this,' Dok-ja thought as everyone made their way to the second basement floor.

And as they had heard from Alea and Jin-ah, people were fighting over the safe zones, some were defending the zones that they already had as they looked at their group with wary looks.

The fights were fierce as well since there were much more people than the safe zones could accommodate. Everyone's mood became more somber as they entered the second basement floor, there were no fights here even though there were way more safe zones on this floor compared to the lower one.

The whole area was clean and there were people guarding the safe zones like they owned the place. It didn't take a lot to figure out that they were from the landlord coalition.

"It seems lively here," Haru said as they all approached the last passage to the bathroom. Like a bottleneck, dozens of people were gathered in the passage.

'Even if this is a little dangerous, This is a good opportunity,' Dok-ja knew that even if it was one of the ten evils their group was in a league of their own, and this is excluding Haru.

If this guy is in the mix, things change, so in reality, there were no cons to him; rather, he'd be able to get a good grasp of how strong Haru is since he hasn't seen him in action against formidable opponents.

"Pil-du-ssi! Please accept it! I won't do it again! Please, please! Please let me stay one more day. I'll go into debt to get the coins!" The leader at the head of the line was facing the agitated people.

Haru strode through the crowd while looking at the few messages that came up in his view. The crowd instinctively parted ways as they caught sight of him. He approached the group of individuals who were blocking the way for others.

"Hey, who are you?" one of them asked, frowning at Haru. The man was in his early fifties, short and rotund, with a beard.

"Are you Gong Pil-du?" Haru inquired with a smile.

"Yeah, what's it to you?" The man responded, smirking arrogantly.

"Don't try to deceive me, old man," Haru said, patting the man's shoulder and examining his face.

"W-What?" The man was taken aback by the fact that his bluff had been detected so easily.

'I have a really bad feeling right now,' Dok-ja thought as he checked the man with his skill and discovered that he was not Gong Pil-du. However, a chill ran down his spine as he considered the possibility that Haru might have a passive lie-detection skill.

If that was true, Then Dok-ja had already been caught lying. From what happened with In-ho, it was clear that mixing lies with the truth was not effective. Although it was not confirmed at the moment and Dok-ja might be overthinking it, the possibility still lingered.

At present, everyone on the floor was focused on Haru, with the other people backing off and leaving only Haru's group behind him.

"You can't even read in peace here," A man sitting a little distance away from the people reading a book about fishing commented.

"That's what happens when you have incompetent subordinates who can't even carry out a simple task like pretending to be you," The man flinched as he looked to his right and saw Haru gazing at him.

"Do you think so?" The man who was supposedly Gong Pil-du said, grinning confidently at Haru.
