Chapter 51 :- Grandmaster Vomited Blood!

Yu Xiaogang was currently in his small cabin. He was pacing about in the room as if thinking about something.

The scenes of him, getting rejected by Yang Kai repeatedly popped up in his mind. Yu Xiaogang felt as if he was slapped in the face and that his dignity as a teacher was challenged. This was definitely hard for him to accept given his pride.

He, Xiaogang has never misjudged any person but today he had gravely miscalculated and failed in reading Yang Kai's character.

Grandmaster thought, that if he displayed his profound knowledge and showed proficiency in his research, Yang Kai might get swayed by it and accept him as master.

But Yang Kai remained indifferent throughout the process.

Whenever he thought of that scene, he was driven mad. This was the first time he was rejected in the face and felt insulted after the Spirit Hall incident.

In his, mind Grandmaster decided to teach Yang Kai a lesson. Thankfully he has a genius disciple with twin Martial Soul.

Though his Spirit Power was not as high as Yang Kai's as of now. But Tang San still had much greater potential than Yang Kai in Grandmaster's mind, with his twin Martial Spirits, that only appeared on the mainland three times.

Moreover, Tang San's second Martial Spirit according to Grandmaster was a top-notch Weapon Spirit and it was widely recognised as the Strongest Attacker Wuhun in the Mainland of Douluo, The Houtian Hammer.

Grandmaster decided to let his disciple fight and beat up that brat Yang Kai and let teach him to teach a severe lesson. This will help him gain his face back.

Thinking about it Yu Xiaogang was very happy and expectant of the future.

He started fantasizing about the scene when Yang Kai begs him by holding his leg after getting defeated by Tang San.

Just when his mood eased, he heard a commotion near Academy Entrance. Grandmaster poked his head out of the window and saw a large crowd gathered near the entrance.

This piqued Yu Xiaogang's curiosity so he decided to see what was going on.

When Yu Xiaogang arrived at the scene he could hear the sound of scolding, beating and painful groans.

Hearing the painful groans, which were oddly familiar to him, Yu Xiaogang suddenly had a bad premonition.

This voice was familiar to him.

He pushed through the crowds like a fanatic and stridden forward.

While pushing forward through the crowd, he was met with curses and abuses from the students and staff but Yu Xiaogang didn't mind as his priority was to reach the source of the voice as soon as possible.

As he approached the source of the noise, Grandmaster could hear the sound of beating and painful groans getting louder and louder.

When he pushed aside the last bystander before him, Yu Xiaogang froze in shock seeing the scene.

He saw his disciple getting beaten and scolded by his friend Ji Fukwao. His initial reaction was that of a confused person followed by immense anger.

"Stop!"

Just when a slap was about to hit Tang San's swollen face it stopped. Hearing the sound Ji Fukwao glanced ar the individual, then focused on Tang San and started beating him again more harshly.

Yu Xiaogang thought, that Ji Fukwao would stop hitting on Tang San after hearing his command but to his astonishment, he was ignored by Dean Ji.

The bystanders looked toward the person who arrived, shouting to stop the beating.

Everyone's attention shifted to a middle-aged man with short hair and a full body cladding in a black t-shirt and trousers, as he became the centre of attention among the crowds.

Every student and staff recognised this person. It was Grandmaster, the famous waste of the Academy and master of that waste Tang San.

"Stop Fukwao! Why are you hitting Tang San? This is so inhumane of you to beat a small child! Do you have no shame?" responded Yu Xiaogang.

"Xiaogang why did you come here?" asked Dean Ji.

"You!..... Why can't I come here? Had I not come I would not have seen your shameless side. Beating a young boy like Tang San. Who permitted you to touch him? Moreover, he's my disciple!" replied Grandmaster while shouting with rage.

"Tang San, a small child?..... You better judge your student's situation clearly before confronting others and accusing them of false charges."

"You call me shameless for teaching this disciple of yours, who knows no discipline and does not even think twice, whose hands do not even shake to commit a carnage in front of the Academy Entrance! What do you take me for Grandmaster Xiaogang?" retorted Dean Ji with disgust on his face while facing Yu Xiaogang.

Listening to Ji Fukwao's accusation of Tang San Grandmaster squinted his brows.

"What are you talking about? What did Tang San do?" asked Grandmaster impatiently.

No matter what according to him, Yu Xiaogang

Tang San was always correct. And if anyone is wrong then it would be others. So, Tang San was being wronged here and was the victim.

Grandmaster never believed that his disciple, who was a good, polite, and well-behaved boy, the boy who respected his seniors and showed filial piety to be aggressive in nature.

"You are lying! You are lying Fukwao! Tang San could never have done these things.!" Finally, Yu Xiaogang's mentality exploded.

Grandmaster could not bare his disciple's face being smeared with accusations publicly.

Everyone looked at Grandmaster as if they were seeing a clown. Even Ji Fukwao looked at his friend oddly.

Everyone present knew Tang San might have done something that broke Academy's rule otherwise he would not have been beaten by the Dean so brazenly.

"He has changed a lot!" Dean Ji thought. The current Xiaogang, was oddly unfamiliar to him.

When Yu Xiaogang was facing the darkest period of his life, Ji Fukwao took him in and provided him shelter and food. He had known Xiaogang for more than two decades but now he felt he didn't even know his friend.

Dean Ji distracted himself from thoughts of his past and replied calmly,

"On my way to the gate, I saw Tang San attack the Gatekeeper. At first, I thought it was some skirmish between children so I didn't intervene but later Tang San was ruthless enough to use hidden weapons coated with poison and even target his vitals. Fortunately, I was present otherwise it would have been a tragedy." Ji Fukwao spoke clear loud voice audible to the crowd.

Saying this Dean Ji pointed to a youth laying a few feet away with a swollen face and broken teeth, his clothes torn and blood oozing out from his wounds.

Everyone now looked towards Li Qi with sympathy whose body was inflicted with several wounds.

Li Qi felt uncomfortable being stared at by so many people when he was in such an embarrassing state but he felt happy when he saw Tang San lying a few feet away groaning in pain, who became the focus of public humility and criticism.

Everyone was shocked by the revelation of Dean Ji and believed his words. But one person in the crowd did not believe in Dean Ji's word.

"Fukwao, you know Tang San is a good and well-behaved child he'll never attack anyone first unless there's a reason. I think it is the Gatekeeper's fault. Yes... he might have incited Tang San and the fight started as a result. You should enquire and punish the Gatekeeper first."

"Moreover what nonsense are you spouting? From where will a nine-year student get strong poisons?" replied Yu Xiaogang.

"....."

Dean Ji was silent hearing Yu Xiaogang's sentence. He then sighed helplessly and showed his palm and the hidden weapon crossbow needles to Yu Xiaogang and the public.

Everyone exclaimed in shock as they saw Dean Ji's wounded hand that had become bluish. In his

bluish palm was some kind of short needle-like weapon.

Dean Ji then explained it was due to the poison present in the concealed weapons used by Tang San.

The whole crowd gasped in fear thinking of the power of the weapons and if those weapons were used on them by Tang San.

Some people had their backs chilled out in fear, especially those that had a sour relationship with Tang San and provoked him in the past.

Seeing Ji Fukwao's wound and bluish hand even Grandmaster was shocked and no words came to his mouth.

Then Dean Ji finally looked toward Yu Xiaogang and asked, "Xiaogang you are Tang San's teacher. So you might know how Tang San got these poisons. Yes, a nine-year-old can't get his hands on such lethal poisons unless they are given to him by someone who can acquire them."

According to Dean Ji, Tang San couldn't acquire these poisons. So it might have been given to him by someone. But from what he knew was that Tang San was from a poor family and has to study as a work-study student in the Academy to pay off his tuition and accommodation fees.

Ji Fukwao mainly suspected Grandmaster, who might have handed these hidden weapons and poisons to Tang San for his self-defence.

Thinking of it Ji Fukwao was mainly annoyed and angered by Yu Xiaogang's action. Moreover, Grandmaster was being biased here and refused to accept the fact that his disciple attacked to kill.

Yu Xiaogang even retorted to use shameless means to slander the Gatekeeper. So that it seemed his disciple was good and the gatekeeper was the villain. But sadly he was present the entire time during their fight, and would not fall for Yu Xiaogang's tricks.

Dean Ji finally could not stand the shamelessness of his friend. So, he finally had to show his wounded hand and the hidden weapons to the people present.

Even some of the teachers gasped in shock, thinking about Tang San's use of concealed weapons coated in poisons to such a degree and power. Being able to hurt Dean shows that Tang San is very proficient in poisons, hidden weapons and sneak attacking.

The teachers could not help but become vigilant toward such a person.

"No, it's impossible for Tang San to inflict such wounds on you! He is just level 15 whereas you are Soul King! You are slandering him and accusing him falsely!" replied Grandmaster angrily.

The more Ji Fukwao listened to Grandmaster's words, the angrier he became. This friend of his not only became selfish but also became unrighteous.

"..."

Ji Fukwao sighed silently.

"Okay let's ask both of them, only then the matter can be clearly understood!" said Dean Ji. Every teacher present along with the director agreed with his arrangement.

Dean Ji turned toward the Gatekeeper and asked him what happened.

Li Qi replied to everything that happened truthfully without concealing anything, from Tang San's absence the entire night to him not following the Academy rules of making an entry in the register near the gates nor having the permission of any Academy Teacher.

Li Qi further told that when he asked Tang San what he was doing the entire night and why he had not entered his name in the register. Tang San refused to answer, used his power as Grandmaster's disciple and further launched an unprovoked attack on him. Later he remembers Dean saving his life, stopping the needles.

Listening to Li Qi's account of the story, everyone who gathered here was dumbfounded.

They had never imagined Tang San to be so undisciplined and unreasonable. He even abused his position and power as Grandmaster's disciple to attack an Academy staff and break the Academy rules. This was unforgivable!

This action of Tang San was like not giving any face to the Academy. If these things were to leak outside and reach outside ears, then the reputation of their Academy would become bad and by then no one would consider taking admission to their Academy.

Even the teachers were boiling in anger hearing Tang San's deed and thinking about the consequences had the news reached the public ears. Students disobey the Academy's rules and regulations and attack it's staffs, if this news spread outside then people and other Academies might even mock them.

The teachers originally did not have any good impression of the Grandmaster and now Tang San's action created a mixed opinion in their minds about Grandmaster.

It was the perfect proof of the Grandmaster's failure as a teacher to teach Tang San. Even Su Pei, the Director was angered and disappointed in Grandmaster.

Meanwhile, when Grandmaster heard it, he was still not ready to believe the nonsense of the Gatekeeper.

"You are lying! How dare you a mere Gatekeeper insult Tang San a genius!" Grandmaster scolded Li Qi.

The teachers were astonished to hear Grandmaster label Tang San a genius.

"He truly is retarded, to label someone having the useless Blue Silver Grass as a genius." replied a teacher to another teacher

"How the heck did his theories get famous in the first place!" replied another teacher.

"Though Tang San is innate full Spirit Power but with Blue Silver Grass Martial Spirit his future achievement will be limited."

"It's a waste of his potential getting Grandmaster as a teacher. He would have reached the level of Soul King but alas!...."

A small discussion started among the teachers, hearing Grandmaster's assertion of Tang San as a genius.

The discussion between the teachers was not loud and hence did not reach Yu Xiaogang's ear.

Yu Xiaogang never believed Tang San, the successor to the Houtian Sect and Son of Clear Sky Douluo would have a bad personality.

Moreover, Tang San regarded him as his adopted father. So how could he see his adopted son getting insulted publicly? He had seen Tang San grow up by his side for three years now. After staying with Tang San for all these years he understood Tang San's character somewhat.

Tang San was upright, respectful, intelligent and hard-working. He was eager to learn about new things and was humble and polite and never showed arrogance despite him having Twin Martial Spirit.

So how could Yu Xiaogang believe the Gatekeeper's words that were contradictory to Tang San's personality?

But little did Yu Xiaogang know that Tang San's hatred and anger for Li Qi was because he beat Grandpa Jack during his admission three years ago and targetted them because of their status as poor seeing their clothes.

Hearing Xiaogang refusing to Believe Li Qi's words, Dean Ji ignored him and looked toward Tang San wanting to know his side of the story.

Tang San replied to everything that happened and most of his accounts of the story matched Li Qi's explanation.

The people in the crowd started whispering after hearing Tang San's story matched with Li Qi's side of the story.

The teachers had disappointed expressions on their faces, especially Dean Ji, listening as Tang San recounted the story.

Dean Ji asked Tang San the reason for him to recklessly attacking the Gatekeeper but Tang San was silent the entire time. Even after repeated enquiries, he did not tell the reasons for his attack.

Hearing both sides of the story Dean Ji decided to give a judgement following Tang San's action of committing an unprovoked attack on the gatekeeper.

After discussions with the teachers and Director Su, Dean Ji finally read the punishment.

"Tang San, by attacking a staff member of the Academy has committed a grave crime. Moreover, he used hidden weapons coated with poison, intending to kill. The Academy does not promote such behaviour in its students. This is a grave crime and serious violation of the rules of the Academy."

"Our Academy has always been a centre of learning and prides itself in good moral etiquette and promotes harmonious behaviour among the students. Tang San, by attacking the Gatekeeper broke the Academy's norms and regulations."

"So, after discussion with the Director and teachers of the Academy, we have decided to invoke Tang San's status as a student of this Academy. We'll also give Tang San a period of three months for changing and correcting himself. And as for the victim, Li Qi our board of teachers issued to give a proper compensation and that Tang San's teacher will be responsible for the medical charges for his treatment."

Dean Ji read all these out in front of the Academy teachers and the passersby who were present during the commotion.

Although he didn't want to punish Tang San as he wanted Tang San to participate in the Junior Soul Master Competition he also had to appease the students and the public otherwise the reputation of their institute will be plummeted. If that happened no one would consider taking admission to their Academy.

Hearing the verdict of the teachers, Grandmaster who was taking care of Tang San's wounds vomited blood. He had never expected this kind of punishment from the Board of teachers of the Academy.

He was angry at the biased judgement issued. Moreover, he was angrier after hearing that the Academy will cancel Tang San's status as a student.

If this happened, Tang San could not get admitted to any Intermediate Soul Master Academy no matter how genius he was and his future would become mediocre.

Yu Xiaogang was not ready to reconcile with the verdict and decided to confront the Academy.

"Fukwao how could issue such cruel punishment to a student from your school?" roared Grandmaster like a madman.

Everyone present thought Grandmaster had finally gone nuts & unbalanced hearing the punishment for his student. But nobody present felt sympathetic towards both the master and disciple.

Instead of answering him, Dean Ji walked up to Yu Xiaogang and Tang San and replied very silently, only for both of them to hear,

"Xiaogang you should know that I'm not only your friend but also the Dean of the Academy. Tang San is a genius, it's rare for anyone at his age to reach level 15. As much as it hurts me to punish Tang San I can't really cannot leave him unpunished because that will cast a bad impression on the Academy and its teachers in the hearts of outsiders. So I can't be partial here.

You should understand it Xiaogang."

"Moreover it's a chance for Tang San to prove himself. If he manages to get to the finals in the Junior Soul Master competition to be organised 3 months later it will shut everyone else up and any bad rumours about Tang San. These three months can help Tang San improve his mentality, his thoughts & behaviour."

"You should first take Little San to be the infirmary and get his wounds treated. I was not hard-handed when dealing with the issue. He can recover in at most 4~6 days." replied Ji Fukwao calmly.

Tang San just listened and nodded silently. He knew he was in the wrong here trying to attack Li Qi and launch a fatal attack.

Hearing these words come from his friend's mouth, Yu Xiaogang's anger somewhat abated.

Yu Xiaogang took the wounded Tang San and supported him in his arms and slowly walked towards his room instead of going towards the infirmary.

The crowd made way for Yu Xiaogang to pass.

Looking at Yu Xiaogang's back Ji Fukwao's calm composed and friendly expression became cruel.

If not for Tang San to taken part in the competition, he would have expelled him and Xiaogang. But this was only a matter of time.

He believed that with Yang Kai present Tang San's performance will not be bright in the competition.

Followed by Tang San and Grandmaster's departure, everyone slowly went their own way and the bustling Academy entrance slowly calmed down as it became silent.

Ji Fukwao stood there waiting for him. Unknown to him, two figures were already present during the fight but he had not been able to sense them. Xiao Xu and a burly man cladded in ragged clothes, his face covered by a hoodie.

Xiao Wu also could not sense that person.

Xiao Wu who saw everything Tang San did, started detesting him and her opinion of him dropped a level. She could not believe her brother San was such a detestable and despicable person.

Subconsciously Yang Kai's image appeared in her mind and the shameful thing he did to her.

Xiao Wu's face became red in shame.

"Scoundrel brother, Bad egg Brother Yang"

Though she scolded Yang Kai she also had anticipation to experience that feeling.

Xiao Wu distracted her thoughts and slowly walked away towards the Seventh Dormitory to wait for Yang Kai.

After everyone went away, the burly hooded man who stood hidden in a tree looked toward Xiao Wu and then he also disappeared.
