Chapter 50:- Tang San's Misfortune

Tang San was walking along the streets of Notting City returning from the Blacksmith shop.

He spends his spare time in the blacksmith shop, polishing his smithing skills, working hard to recreate the weapons of the Tang Sect and re-establish its glory.

He did not attend the class yesterday and went to the blacksmith shop.

Although he was young and talented having reached a level of 15, but he never slacked off honing his skills as a blacksmith.

Moreover working as a blacksmith helped him earn Soul Coins, enough to bare his and Xiao Wu's living expenses.

Tang San had planned to return to the Academy in the evening but he was so engrossed in the making of Zhuge Divine Crossbow that he forgot the sense of time.

He spent the entire night forging the pieces of metal and joining them piece by piece to re-create Tang Sect's Godly Zhuge Crossbow.

It was a huge accomplishment for him to recreate the Zhuge Crossbow again in Douluo World, as it signified he was a step closer to realising his dream of creating the Tang Sect.

The Douluo World, today saw the rebirth of yet another one of the Tang Sect's lethal hidden weapons, The Godly Zhuge Crossbow. The first few being The Silent Sleeve Dart and Dragon beard needle.

With the help of these Tang Sect's hidden weapons combined with the No 1 and No 2 ranked lethal weapons, he can create a strong force, enough to sweep all the forces of the Douluo World and make the Tang Sect the strongest of all.

Among all the weapons of the Tang Sect, The Buddha's Fury Tang Lotus was considered the strongest one. Though he made this legendary weapon once, he handed it over and committed suicide to prove his sincerity to the Sect.

Now that he has got a chance and reincarnated in the Douluo World. Tang San wished to recreate this weapon once again and establish the glory of the Tang Sect and fulfil his oath to Grandmaster Tang Lan, who handed him all Tang Sect secrets.

Sadly he has not yet gotten his hands on the materials necessary to build the Buddha's Fury Tang Lotus or the top three weapons - Torrential Pear Blossom Needle and Peacock Plume (occupied 2nd and 3rd ranked lethal weapons of Tang Sect), nor was he qualified enough to recreate the top 3 weapons of the Tang Sect.

Tang San believed that, only by reaching the level of Contra or Title Douluo, could he create those weapons. Because the person casting it needed to nourish the metal with his own blood and simultaneously forge it in a flame of high temperature, for two whole months without stopping.

But that did not diminish his enthusiasm for his goal, on the contrary, he felt more motivated. The Douluo world unlike his previous world was more magical and mysterious. He firmly believed that he would get the right materials sooner or later and recreate those weapons and establish the glory of the Tang Sect.

He was excited, and could not wait for that day.

To realise this lofty goal, he practised diligently under his master's teaching and used to listen to his theory.

So he spends most of the time cultivating his soul power, Tang Sect techniques and hidden weapons.

Because of this busy schedule, he does not attend classes most of the time as he has learned everything that the Academy has to offer, from his master.

Moreover, Tang San felt that the teachings of the Academy were not suitable for him and in his free time, he usually goes through his Master's collection of books.

Reading those books helped him understand the Soul Master society, Spirit Beasts, Soul Power cultivation levels and power structure of the continent, making his goal clear.

Right now Tang San was walking happily on the streets of Notting City as he passed by the shops, thinking about his goal and his lovely sister Xiao Wu.

Suddenly he stopped, his happy face became anxious and sweaty.

He was so engrossed in creating Zhuge Godly Crossbow that he stayed at the shop overnight. He thought Xiao Wu might be anxious and angry with him for not returning to the dormitory for the entire night.

So, without wasting any time he started walking towards the Academy quickly.

Tang San sometimes felt Xiao Wu's angry face was quite scary.

When he reached the gate, Tang San was suddenly stopped. It was the same gatekeeper that made things difficult for Tang San during his admission.

Seeing the gatekeeper Tang San's eyes instantly became cold.

Being born and raised in Tang Sect from childhood in his past life and receiving Sect's teachings, Tang San was merciless extremely cruel towards his enemies.

But he did not have time to play around with the Gatekeeper, as he had things to explain to Xiao Wu.

--------------------+++++-------+++++--------------------

Li Qi was just a gatekeeper, responsible for keeping track of the students going in and out of the Academy.

He is in his 20s and has Soul Power of rank 11, Soul Master with single ring configuration. Because he was not talented enough, he was appointed by the Director as a gatekeeper of the Academy.

It was a relaxing job for him to only keep track of the students and sometimes open the gate for any guest visiting the Academy.

Sometimes he used to bully the poor work and study students for fun, but when he met rich and noble Young Masters, he flattered and curry favour with them.

Li Qi's job as gatekeeper earned him a good sum of money and considering the subsidies from the Spirit Hall, it was enough for him to live as a local tyrant.

He was thinking about yesterday's incident. Thankfully that rich young master didn't have a great temper. Otherwise, he would have lost his only job as a gatekeeper.

But then again he thought the young master was quite generous, to gift him Gold Soul coins on their first meeting.

Li Qi's hands were itching to beat Tang San, although he knew he was not Tang San's match and could not beat him.

He just planned to create a rucksack and attract everyone's attention and plummet Tang San's reputation and face in front of the Academy.

Like any other day, Li Qi was now gatekeeping early in the morning while waiting for Tang San to return.

Yesterday the Young Master asked him to create some problem for Tang San, to which he happily agreed.

...

Since Tang San was not in the Academy, Li Qi waited for him at the Academy Gate, the whole day.

It was evening but Tang San still did not return to the Academy.

Li Qi was angry standing at the Academy Gate and cursing, waiting for Tang San to appear.

He waited a few more hours till dinner time, but Tang San was still yet to return.

Li Qi reluctantly left but not without some curses.

He decided to come early the next morning.

...

Li Qi came for his work somewhat early, waiting for Tang San's arrival. Ultimately his wait was over as he saw Tang San return in hurry.

Li Qi stopped Tang San ignoring his cold, murderous gaze.

"You were supposed to return yesterday. What took you so long? You are violating the Academy regulations by spending the entire night outside, without any records in the Entry journal*, or permission from any teacher." said Li Qi

"That's none of your concern! Whether I stay outside the Academy is none of your concern. I can come and go wherever I want because my master is a guest of the Dean." Tang San replied coldly.

Ji Fukwao who was coming towards the Academy gate stopped after hearing the commotion at the entrance of the Academy.

He could not sit and wait in his office. So he decided to wait for Yang Kai near the Academy Entrance.

But he never expected to see Yu Xiaogang's disciple bullying a small gatekeeper, the moment he left his office.

Instead of intervening, Ji Fukwao hid his presence and watched from the side.

...

"What nonsense! Because your teacher is Dean's friend you can do as you please! Ridiculous! If not for Dean housing that waste, you could not have such a temper. So, know your place boy! Although you are Grandmaster's disciple you can not break the rules set by the dean and come and go from the Academy whenever you want!"

Tang San exploded in anger, his eyes became red and veins popped out,

"How dare you insult my teacher?"

With that, he possessed his Martial Spirit. A Blue silver grass appeared in his hand followed by a yellow spirit ring.

Seeing Tang San bring out his Martial Spirit, Li Qi also completed his Martial Spirit possession. A bear phantom appeared behind his body followed by his claws becoming like that of a bear as a white ring materialised around him.

Without waiting for a moment, Tang San used his first Soul ability, Intertwine.

Li Qi saw the vines coming toward him and used his sharp bear-like claws to cut every incoming vine.

Tang San did not seem surprised that his attack was stopped, instead, he used his Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track and bolted towards the gatekeeper at high speed.

Li Qi was surprised by Tang San's sudden increase in speed as Tang San Martial Spirit was not from the Agility department.

All he saw was a bunch of after images and fathoms arriving towards him. He could no longer follow Tang San's tracks anymore

"Not Good!" Li Qi murmured as he crossed his arms in his chest.

Tang Sang unexpectedly changed his attack and hit Li Qi with his vines, binding Li Qi.

Li Qi who never had any fighting experience did not expect Tang San to stage a fake strike and bind him with his vines.

Tang San's combat ability was very high and could come up with unexpected attacks. So Li Qi was confused seeing such tactics.

Li Qi tried breaking the intertwined vines but he could not break them no matter how much he tried.

After trying hard for a while, he slowed down as Li Qi felt his head dizzy.

Ji Fukwao who was watching the fight from the sides squinted his brows seeing Li Qi's condition. Li Qi may not know his condition but how could Ji Fukwao's expert eyesight not see that Li Qi was poisoned by Tang San's weird 1st Spirit Ability.

"Did not expect this boy Tang San to be so cruel. Using despicable things like Poisons to sneak attack. Humph!"

Ji Fukwao despised the use of sneak attacks hidden weapons and poisons in fights, as he was an upright person.

So when he saw Tang San fighting despicable, he was displeased. He blamed Yu Xiaogang for teaching these cowardly techniques to Tang San.

Li Qi was easily restrained because of Tang San's poison. Tang San used his spirit ability to bind and hold Li Qi in the air. Then he slammed Li Qi to the ground with force.

"Cough! Cough!....You.....You are really cruel...Cough! Cough!....."

Li Qi spewed a mouth full of blood.

"Heh! It's admirable that the waste...Cough!.... Grandmaster Could teach you to this degree...Cough!...But don't think you can get away after attacking me first.....How... ow.... rid..ridiculous that the waste of.....cough.!...of your teacher .....Cough!... did not teach you to restrain yourself.....Cough! cough!....." smirked Li Qi while coughing blood.

"You!..." Tang San became angrier when he heard Li Qi insult his Master yet again.

He could now no longer hold back his violent anger.

In anger, he used the silent sleeve Dart and pointed it toward Li Qi's head.

Li Qi felt a deadly threat as he was targeted by Tang San's weapon. He felt afraid seeing Tang San's murderous look and being pointed a peculiar weapon at his head.

Tang San looked cold and emotionless. According to him a scum like Li Qi doesn't deserve to live.

He released the small needle-like arrows toward Li Qi who was now lying on the ground unable to move.

Li Qi watched as the needles arrive at him, he was full of regret and closed his eyes in fear waiting for his death.

But to his astonishment, the needle that was supposed to pierce him did not appear.

Li Qi opened his eyes and was surprised to see the Dean standing before him holding the darts that Tang San fired at him.

.....

Ji Fukwao who was hiding saw Tang San shoot dart-shaped needles toward the gatekeeper, which was enough to kill a level 20 Soul Master.

He became angry at Tang San who dared to kill people at the gates of his Academy. Besides that, Ji Fukwao was more astonished to see Tang San's courage.

He had never known that this, usually well behaved and polite child who respected his elder was so cruel and vicious that he never thought twice to kill people from his academy.

Without thinking much he rushed out and held the needles shot towards the Gatekeeper.

Suddenly, Ji Fukwao felt a little chilling sensation in his hand. Only to see that his hand has become blue.

With his abundant knowledge and vast experience, Ji Fukwao did not need any guess, as he knew he was poisoned by Tang San's weapons.

Ji Fukwao became enraged seeing Tang San use weapons coated with toxins to harm people.

Without wasting any more time he cut a tiny bit of flesh and forced out the poison using his Soul Power through the wound.

Ji Fukwao judged, that the poison was lethal enough to kill Soul Sects. Thankfully he had the cultivation of Soul King, so it was relatively easy for him to force out the toxins.

.....

Tang San did not expect the Dean to arrive at this moment and intercept the Silent Sleeve Dart.

Before he could respond or apologise to the Dean, he was slapped hard by Ji Fukwao who had already removed the toxins and sent him flying 10-meter, slamming hard against a tree.

Blood started leaking from the corner of his mouth.

Seeing this, Li Qi was very happy. Thankfully, the Dean arrived in time and saved his life.

Without giving Tang San any time to spar, Dean Ji arrived before him and started whacking him again nonstop.

The Notting Academy Entrance was filled with Tang San's painful groan.

The Huge commotion at the Academy Entrance already alerted many teachers and passersby on the street.

Some of the teachers and students even arrived at the scene after hearing the commotion.

But all they saw was Tang San wailing as he was getting beaten by the Dean.

Everyone was guessing as to why this youngster was getting bitten up by the Dean, and what could he have done to enrage the Dean to such an extent.

Nobody came up to stop the Dean as they watched a good show.

Some of the students present here, had long been dissatisfied with Tang San but never dared to fight him because of his strength. Now that Dean was hitting him in front of everyone, they felt happy. Especially Xiao Chenyu and his gang of followers who were defeated by Tang San.
