Chapter 49 :- Dean Ji Fukwao's thoughts..

The discussion in the building was not over yet. Everyone present was dissatisfied with the conduct of the Grandmaster.

After some talks, they decided to take this matter to the Dean. Because they could not take any action against Grandmaster privately, who was Dean's guest.

Everyone present decided to head to the dean's office.

Currently, the Dean was busy, his table filled with piles of papers, busy shortlisting the students eligible to participate in the Junior Soul Master Championship.

Junior Soul Master Championship is organised every year by the empire to select young geniuses.

This competition is the only hope for students to change their fate and get admitted to a good Intermediate Soul Master Academy. So, this competition has a huge meaning and is organised grandly every year.

Notting City Junior Soul Master Academy originally did not have the qualifications to enter the tournament given the strength of the students.

But a few months ago, the Emperor announced a series of reforms and changed many of his old policies and adopted new policies. These reforms were made keeping in mind the commoners and to attract more civilian-based Soul Master students and recruit them.

Because of this, the Competition this time was much grander than those organised previously. Even the rewards were rich and extravagant, enough to make even those Contras envy.

But everyone in the Empire became more shocked when the Emperor, even announced the opening of Tian Dou Academy to students of commoner based origin.

Tian dou Academy was considered the best in the Heaven Dou Empire and only accepted nobles but now that its rules have been changed to accept commoners. Everyone who aspired to enrol in it had high expectations and was blazing with fighting spirit, eagerly waiting for the competition to start 3 months later.

Because of the changes in rules, it was decided by the Emperor that any Junior Soul Master Academy in the Heaven Dou Empire can participate in the tournament.

This opened an opportunity for every Junior Soul Master Academy to participate irrespective of their strength.

The whole of Heaven Dou Empire was busy preparing for the Competition three months later.

Dean Ji was having a hard time selecting students to represent their Academy. They do not have any prodigies in their academy much less the students with average talents to participate.

Until now he only has 4 students in mind, Tang San, Xiao Wu, Wang Sheng and Xiao Chenyu.

But among them, he could not consider Tang San arbitrarily, because he was not a student of the Academy and was Grandmaster's disciple. For Tang San to participate he had to convince Grandmaster.

"What a pain in the ass!" Cursed Dean Ji as he was having a headache thinking about this issue.

"Creek! ~ "

While he was wrecking his brain over any possible students left out and how to convince Grandmaster, the door to his office opened distracting him from his thoughts.

Ji Fukwao (Dean) saw five people entering his office. Among them were Director Su, Old Wen, Mo Hen and two other teachers.

He was confused to see these people early in the morning in his office.

"What happened? Why are you all in my office at such an early hour? Is there any problem in the academy?"

asked Dean Ji as he was confused about why the Director and other teachers came to him early in the morning moreover it was not yet the time for academic hours.

Director Su looked at the dean's face full of exhaustion and then at the table that was filled with stacks of papers. He could not help but sympathise with him.

"Ah, Dean looks like you are having a nice time here. We'll come later, you continue with your work." Director Su replied with a sly smile. He could not help but feel happy seeing his friend sorting out the mess early in the morning.

"Surnamed Su, you bastard how dare you enjoy seeing your friend going through all these works! You are becoming heartless and cold. Can't believe you are taking pleasure in your friend's misfortune." sighed Dean Ji.

Both of them started laughing loudly after this conversation, ignoring the teachers present around them.

Dean Ji and Director Su are best friends and have known each other since childhood. Because they were not talented enough they could not enter Senior Soul Master Academy. Thereupon, After Completing their graduation from an Intermediate Soul Master Academy, they established this Notting Academy together.

Ji Fukwao took charge as Dean and Su Pei became the Director of the Academy.

After having hearty laughter for a while both of them calmed down. Ji Fukwao's haggard face that was full of tension eased a lot, having a hearty laugh with his friend.

"So, what brings you here in my office early in the morning with the teachers?" Ji Fukwao asked Su Pei curiously.

"Okay, okay I'll tell but what's the issue with all these piles of papers early in the morning? Are you troubled with something?" asked Director Su.

"It's nothing much, it's about the Junior Soul Master Competition organized by the Empire Every year. This year His Majesty The Emperor declared every Junior Soul Master Academy can participate. So I'm worried about the participation of our Academy?" replied Dean Ji.

"So basically you are worried about not having enough students to represent our Academy, right Fukwao?"

"Looks like I can't hide anything from your sharp eyes! Yes, you guessed it correct. We don't have enough students to participate in the Competition."

"We need seven students for the group match but we only have three students - Xiao Wu, Xiao Chenyu, and Wang Sheng. It would have been better if Tang San could join but he is a personal disciple of the Grandmaster so, I can't move him. Alas! if only our academy had a few geniuses I would not have such headache."

Sighed Dean Ji.

Hearing Ji Fukwao's concern Su Pei just smiled slightly.

Ji Fukwao, who was full of concern for their debut in The Junior Soul Master Competition, saw his friend Su Pei grinning. He was curious as to why he was smiling like a stupid.

There's a popular saying, "Curiosity kills a cat."

Unable to stand the curiosity Ji Fukwao eventually decided to ask.

"Why are you smiling stupidly? Let's hear it out We also want to hear what's so interesting to make you smile." replied the Dean and the teachers nodded in unison.

Hearing that Su Pei started recounting yesterday's events, starting from Yang Kai's joining, his talent to Grandmaster's attitude in taking Yang Kai as a disciple and Yang Kai's rejection.

The more Ji Fukwao heard, the more he became excited. He was too shocked to hear about Yang Kai's talent. He had never heard of anyone having reached level 19 only at the age of nine. This is a genius, no it is more than a genius, he is a prodigy.

He could not understand, why a genius like him joined their Junior Soul Master Academy? Nevertheless, it didn't matter to him. Since Yang Kai joined their Academy, he was now a student of their academy and it was a good thing, for them.

Dean Ji thought it was good enough for their Academy to participate in this Contest. But after hearing about Yang Kai, he has a glimmer of hope, of getting a good ranking.

Finally, they have hope to reach the quarter-finals, even reaching the semi-finals was not impossible.

He could now brag and show off in front of Luo Quinming, a long time rival of his and the current Dean of Wolf Wing City Junior Soul Master Academy.

Every time he met Luo Quinming, he used to brag how his academy once reached the top 20 in Junior Soul Master Academy. But now with the presence of Yang Kai, Notting Academy was sure to reach the semifinals.

He could not wait to see Luo Quinming's shitty face after his Academy wins. Thinking about it made Dean Ji could not help but smile evilly.

Though he received happy news, Ji Fukwao was not happy with the Grandmaster's conduct and interference in the affairs of the Academy. Thankfully, the child Yang Kai was a sensible one and rejected Grandmaster.

Seeing Dean Ji's unhappy expression upon hearing Grandmaster, all the teachers were delighted and added oil to the fire and bad-mouthed Grandmaster.

Everyone started complaining about Grandmaster and accused him of poaching away the talented students of their Academy. Some teachers even accused Grandmaster falsely and made-up things that he had not even committed.

Since Grandmaster was Dean's guest, the teachers could not take any action against him other than detesting him. But now that the Dean himself was unhappy about Grandmaster's recent behaviour,

the teachers got their chance and they could show their discontentment openly.

"Okay! I'll talk to Grandmaster about it. But before that I need to see this Young genius!" replied Ji Fukwao.

The teachers could only sigh helplessly. They could understand Dean's problem and his dilemma.

Ji Fukwao was dissatisfied with Grandmaster but he also needed Tang San to participate in the competition, as they were short on talents. If not for Ji Fukwao's hand being tangled up, he would not mind, not giving any face to Grandmaster.

Dean Ji was already dissatisfied with Grandmaster when he took Tang San as his disciple right under his nose. Though Tang San's Martial Spirit is a waste, he was still an innate full spirit power. With some training, it was enough to cultivate to Soul Emperor or Soul Sage.

But now in Ji Fukwao's mind, Yang Kai was far more important than Tang San, because every teacher suspected him to be a genius from some hidden family.

"Where is Yang Kai? I need to see him as soon as possible!"

"He went to the city in the morning," replied Old Wen.

"Bring him to me as soon as he returns. I need to see him personally," said Dean Ji.

The small meeting was adjoined and everyone went out.

Ji Fukwao sat in his chair thinking while tapping the table with his fingers.

"Xiaogang, oh Xiaogang it's all your fault! Don't blame me for being impolite! I sheltered you and even provided you with food, even helped you publish your Ten Core Theories. But still, you don't give me any face and try to poach away my students. Just wait for the Competition to end. If not for the shortage of talents, I would have already thrown you out of my academy." Ji Fukwao sneered.

------------

While the discussion in Dean's office was over. A boy could be seen walking by the streets with a cloth bag hung around his shoulder.

He was just like any other boy, having an average look with short black hair and wearing a blue t-shirt and blue trousers.

Behind his immature face with an ordinary appearance lies a youth of around 29 years of age with vast knowledge and unique cultivation techniques who had mastered countless hidden weapons, and poisons and underwent a reincarnation.

Yes, he reincarnated into the Douluo World. He considered this his biggest secret.

The person was heading towards the Nuoding Junior Academy.
