Kefálaio I: Dream.

Tomiko's Perspective.

My name is Tomiko. A regular girl from the human world known as Earth. I've been depressed lately, not because I want to be. My family, my career, and my life are all in disarray. I'm capable of doing better, but whenever I try, nothing works out in the end.

It wasn't that long before I've discovered a Role-playing Game called Genshin Impact and it became a way of my escape from the problems I desperately wanted to disappear. Genshin Impact has various unique characters and honestly, the husbando's are so hunky and yummy. Just kidding, don't mind my wicked mentality.

Back to my story.

One bothersome night, it was all because of overthinking that I've decided to pray to God. Reasoning that I'm tired in my life. I told him that he takes my soul and let me be in peace. Although, it wasn't fully a wish since it was all due to the unfortunate life that has forced me to have such ideas.

I altered that request from dying to seeing Xiao in my dreams really quick (Because basically, I wanted to flirt with him although I don't really know how to flirt.)

But, my poor unfortunate soul, I had no idea God was awake at the moment. Instead of dying peacefully, why did I end up in the game myself?!

***Chapter 1***

My eyes widened, who wouldn't when you found yourself inside of this strange dream.

I saw this nice-looking guy who looked exactly like Kaeya in Genshin Impact. It's not like my eyes were deceiving me. Kaeya, what is Kaeya's physical appearance in the game? He has dark skin and clear ocean eyes, not to mention the black pirate eye patch on his right eye. He is also wearing that costume, even the build and posture is pretty accurate. If he is cosplaying, I'd only say 'well done.'

Anyway, they were discussing about Diluc before. Who is who he saved.

Now that I think about it.

It's possible that this is a joke. I'd seen it on television before. Perhaps someone moved me elsewhere due to my lack of awareness while sleeping, and they are now trying to confuse me. However, who would pull such a stunt? It's not like I have friends, nor would my family do this. If they did hire anyone to do this, then this could really be a dream (There's no way they'd spend money on something like this.)

Alright. Decided. In my opinion, this has to be a dream. Now I should just go with the flow of this dream till my own self decides to wake up on its own.

I've said that to myself but as I thought, "There's no way!" I sat in bed, pretty worked out of how in the world Kaeya is in front of me.

"Kaeya would never stand right in front of me!" I yelled while staring intensely. Thus, watching his unexpected chuckles concerned me. He always does this when observing people.

"How can he behave like Kaeya as in Kaeya?" I continuously ranted not to him but to myself. My fingers leaned against my chin as I turned my gaze to the ceiling, where this odd chandelier hung.

"Hm. I see." Kaeya abruptly speaks and continued, "From the way of your tone. You appear to be acquainted with me. This may seem impolite given that I don't recall ever meeting you; nonetheless, have we met before? "

Oh my goodness. Kaeya spoke in his usual sweet, relaxed tone. That is why he is so popular among female NPCs. Amber, on the other hand, appears to have developed reservations about him. She frequently claims that Kaeya is a thorny individual.

Again, this is just a dream. There's no way something will happen around me.

My stares reverted at him, "N-no! Obviously, we're not!" I replied shortly after his question.

What only bothers me is my heart pounds as if it were a train on the tracks.

"Master Diluc saved you when you were hopelessly drowning in cinder lake. Sir Kaeya here watched over you when you're unconscious. You should at least give your sincere gratitude for the people who took care of you while you're out of it." An unknown NPC, a servant perhaps, abruptly chimed in. She might have thought that I'm being rude for talking informally to Kaeya.

However, I don't recollect anything about 'Drowning.' To be more specific, I have no recollection of this world. It's just that I know this game, but there's no way I'd remember something that happened earlier before I even woke up. It was all a dream but this is already confusing me so much.

I just took the suggestion of this female NPC at heart.

I knelt down, of course, I'm still in bed. There's no way I will kneel down on the floor.

"I— I…humbly thank you for having a time of taking care of me. A—and…"

My words were cut when Kaeya immediately interrupted, "Why thank me? I didn't do anything but observe that dazzling face…of yours."

For some reason, I was baffled by the words he uttered. To the point that I could feel the warmth of the blush crawling up in my face.

"...Sigh. You should be thanking Master Diluc for saving your life."

It was Diluc along the way. Wait. They said I was drowning, then how did Diluc save me? He swam in the lake—I already perhaps lost my consciousness that time since I don't remember. (I only remember sleeping in my room earlier.)

"No way!"

"...?"

[A splash of strange image flashed after I deciphered the things that Diluc might've done.]

"Hey! Talk to me if you're okay."

*Obviously unconscious*

*Diluc does the forbidden CPR*

[Back to the dream.]

"AaaaAAaAAAAaaaah!" I screamed like a demon when I realized that could've happened, "I'm doomed!"

"...Pardon?"

"Diluc got my first kiss! That was supposedly Xiao…now everything was ruined." I mumbled to myself. I twitched my eyebrows problematically as I bit my fingernail intensely.

"Seeing you energetic like this. It appears there is no reason to be concerned about you anymore. Unfortunately for me, I need to report back to the headquarters regarding to our drowning little kitten."

"Drowning…kitten? "Stupid, he's referring to you. I grinned as I worded the question in my mind, "Going to the headquarters, you say?... Could it be the headquarters of Favonius in Monstadt?"

"Precisely. Now then, I'll see you around."

Kaeya left the room together with the servant he was with after I got his response to my question.

It seems everything has been quiet for a while. Now that I'm the only person in this room. I can loudly ask myself whether this is truly a dream or I'm really inside of the game.

"What is going on here! I mean… this is all a dream, right? But how in the world it is so vivid and real?"

As I descents to the floor with my bare feet, I went straight ahead the mirror to see myself. However, I didn't see my appearance, I saw someone else reflections on me.

"A white long-haired in half bun, with eyes of ruby is staring back at me." I touched my face with uncertainty. "She looks young and adorable." This girl must be around her teens. Her skin was soft compared to my skin in the real world. She wasn't haggard too, and wrinkles couldn't be seen in her face.

"But why am I in her body? This is clearly not Lumine, but the question is. Who is she? I have never seen this character that was been released by Mihoyo before. Is she an unknown or to be released character?" I began thinking of what is the Rarity of this body is. "Is she five stars or four stars?"

There's no way I could figure that myself.

Anyway, this girl is dressed in a cute lolita attire, which is likely similar to Yunjin's clothing, but the color is different, and there's a beautiful bow in the collar. The skirt falls below the knees and my hair also includes a lovely ribbon adornment.

"This character must be from a wealthy family…huh?"

Somehow, I can't help but smile bitterly to myself.

I peeked to the window for a bit and a vast field of grapes that could only be seen in Dawn Winery piqued my attention. Walking forward to it, "This dream is so detailed. It has every single thing of the game."

While enjoying the scenery, I somehow noticed a glass-like shard beside the rail of the window. Because of my curiosity, I attempted to touch it "Ouch…" only to see that it suddenly embedded deep in my palm.

When I turned my palm around, I saw the blood crawling down from it.

My jaw fell in an instant as my eyes widened in shock at what I'd just learned.

"T—...This is…

—...Gasped! Not a dream!?"
