Chapter 9. Lynne at the office

• • • Lynne's POV • • •

Omg, the weekend was finally over. I remember I couldn't wait for Monday to arrive. I needed to see Boris. Only he could give me the real version of what happened that evening. I would have paid him a visit if I knew where he was lived. Trust me, he was very lucky I didn't know.

I hurriedly walked into the building "Apps and store Ltd." is the name of the company which I worked for. I studied cyber security at the University. I was the first in my course and I was offered this job in this big castle.

It was still very early when I stepped into the first floor which was crammed with people, they were all seated on their desks. I took a seat behind my desk and I started to work on the pile of documents which were on my desk

All my efforts in vain. I couldn't work. My mind was filled with lots of questions that needed answers.

I flung my pen on the table, leaning on my chair. I was rolling the chair left and right, asking myself when that Damn, Boris will finally arrive. Fortunately, when I turned I saw him entering the building.

He greeted a few people, then he passed my desk and moved into the elevator. I rapidly followed and I entered the elevator just after him in a rush. He glimpsed at me weirdly but he didn't say anything.

"What are you doing?"he got apprehensive when I pressed the switch off button. "Wait, you will understand soon" I gripped his tie, pressing his neck "Saturday evening, I guess you can still remember" I scowled.

"What the fuck is going over you, free me before I do something stupid. For your information, I did karate and I can defend myself and I don't want to hurt a lady like you so free me" he said, seriously as if his words were going to scare me away.

"What did you do to me in the park?. And hat the hell, are you?" I tightly clutched his neck as I slowly lifted him above ground level.

"I return you the question, what the hell are? What do you want from me?. What the hell do you want from me" he panicked. "Stop pretending, tell me what you did to me on that fucken night!" I chided furiously but it was like I wasn't dreadful enough to make him speak.

"I did nothing to you, I don't even know you, I wasn't in the park on Saturday. Release me now, I can't breathe" he whimpered, indeed he was getting short of breath. Perhaps he was saying the truth that he knew nothing.

"Then how come?. I remember you were the last person I discussed with, we kissed and you took me to the back of the park. Can you remember now?" I explained.

"Hell, no. Is either you are crazy or you are making a huge mistake. You better drop me down before I call for the security." he chided.

"And I will call the cops, I will tell them what you did to me, I will tell them that you are an animal. Boris who the hell are you" I hit him on the wall.

He fought back and pushed me, I stumbled back and I hit a button without realising it. All I cared about was to maintain him in my arms, hoping he was going to tell the truth.

"Talk now!" I tighten his neck, his eyes were getting weak and he was reddening while his legs were floating about ground level "Talk before I do something stupid" I yelled just to scare him up.

Suddenly, he stopped the struggle to get out of my grip. His reddish eyes were fixed straight above my head. OMG, he was so red, with veins carved over his face, he could barely breathe. I thought he was going to die on the spot.

I followed his eyes so I turned around. Shit!. A freeze chill moved down my spine. The whole floor was looking at me. I immediately freed him. He heavily fell to the ground, generating a sore sound and he was coughing at the same time. I hit my face in my mind.

"What the hell is going on here?" the CEO himself, Mr Diaz stepped in front of us with his fierce look, I shuddered. Only a few people were watching. Luckily this floor wasn't as full as the first floor.

"Sorry, sir, it's a little misunderstanding" I whimpered in fear. "Both of you in my office, now!" he ruled and walked away. "Get up" I offered Boris a helping hand, "Go to hell" he struck it off his view and he stood up by himself.

We both entered the office.

"I don't know what happened, I don't want to know what happened what I saw is enough. The next time this happens again, you will be fired. Lynne go back home and wait for my email before you resume work. Leave now!" he scolded me out of his office.

"What!… Are you kidding me?. You should have fired her because that's all she merits. I'm the assistant CEO of this company and I'm your nephew, I desire more respect from these employees." Boris hits the table.

"Mind the way you speak to me. Don't forget the only reason you are still assistant CEO is solely because of me and everything can change at any time. So if I were you, I will mind the way I speak and calm down" he said.

"You needed to see the way she clenched me, I've never seen a woman with so much strength, she effortlessly carried me, as if I was a piece of paper and you want to let this go, why?. You fire people for lesser offence than this" he reprimanded.

"Sometimes in life, you have to be lenient towards people." he said but he didn't mean it.

"Wow, wow, that's a first and since when did you get so melodramatic?." he clapped his hands. "Simply admit that you don't care about me and you have never cared." he shouted.

"Don't pathetic. Tell me what happened in that lifter," he yelled.

"I don't know. She accused me of attacking her in the park. Hum…. she called me an animal, or something like that. Uncle, that girl is crazy and you need to fire her." he insisted.

This rendered Diaz thoughtful.

"We need to fire her before she repeats this to someone else, maybe you will be her next victim. Just imagine how it's going to be" he kept on speaking like a parrot.

"If you don't shut up, you will be the one to be fired" he hits the table and Boris immediately stopped speaking. "Why don't you get close to here, so that she can tell you more about what she meant"

"Never, I can't do that. I can't follow the woman who tried to kill me just a few minutes ago." he scowled. "Will you shout up and do what I tell you for once"

"As if my dignity wasn't wounded enough, now you want me to add the wounds" he grumbled.

"Do you ever aspire to be the CEO of this company?" he asked. "Of course," Boris nodded his head, seriously.

"Good, for that to ever happen, you need to follow instructions given to you by the present CEO without questioning. Now go down there and find a way to be close to her" he instructed.

"What won't I do for this post" Boris grumbled to himself as he walked out of his uncle's office.

"Fuck!" Diaz hit the table furiously as he took back his seat.
