"Hey, bro, where are you now?" Amina's voice came to my ears through the phone.


"Now's not really a good time, Amina," I muttered, dragging my heavy steps on the way back to the castle. 


But I was afraid I would break her heart again and that our fragile connection couldn't take more hits.


"Well, you better make it a good time because you'll want to know this," Amina said, her singsong voice turning to ice. 


"Okay, I'm sorry. I'm just a little on edge. What's up?" I asked. I stopped and looked back in the direction of the woods. 


"You know how I like to sneak around in the secret passages of the castle and dig up dirty secrets. Just ten minutes ago, I stalked in the passage in Devi's bedroom."
