Asher's POV
My lost memories about that accident had completely come back.
I looked at Vika as she slept beside me. Her face was as soft and peaceful as a sleeping baby.
She had no idea what I'd done.
‘My Moon Goddess, were you making a big joke to me?’
I winced, tucking my arms around my waist and curling into a ball. Ugh. What had my father done?
He'd set me up. He'd ruined everything.
And me? What could I possibly say or do to make up for what I'd done to Vika's father?
Vadon's words echoed around me like a gong blasting in my ears. “Do you think you were clean in that accident?”
Now I knew that I'd killed Vika's father.
That bastard.
"Grr!" I slammed my fist into the ground.
Vika rolled over. ‘No, don't wake up, not yet. I'm not ready…’
Shaking like a leaf, I reached for Vika and hugged her back close.
