Vika's POV
Damnit, Vadon. He was slippery as a fish and slick as a weasel.
"We have to go after him," I said.
"He's going to Starlight Waterfall," Asher said. "That's where those paths lead."
"You're not getting out of this clearing," one of the rogues snarled.
They attacked.
I stood back-to-back with Asher. We would defend each other to death. I knew that.
One rogue lunged forward. I jumped to the side and pivoted. Whew, that was close.
"Ahhh!" he cried, raising his sword.
‘Oh, no, you don't!; I stabbed the rogue up, getting him in the chest.
Another rogue came up behind me. I spun around and kicked him. He snarled and fell back, right into Asher's sword.
"Well, that's teamwork, isn't it?" I asked.
Asher grinned. "I told you these guys were no match for us," he said.
"Asher, watch your back!" I cried.
Asher ducked, and I hurled my sword. Whomp… Whomp… Whomp… It spun through the air like a frisbee and hit the rogue behind Asher.
