*Lucas*
I wasn’t sure what to expect when returning home. From my understanding, it had been about two months since I was there. I hoped Brady hadn’t gotten a roommate or moved my stuff.
“Lucas, welcome back,” Brady greeted, coming down the front steps. He grabbed my hand and I shook his vigorously, clapping me on the shoulder.
“It’s good to be back.”
“Sasha, you look amazing for someone who’s been in a coma for months.” Phoebe ran down the stairs and hugged Sasha.
We all greeted each other and exchanged hugs. It was good to be back with the people that knew us and that we had real relationships with.
“I’m really sorry for what happened,” Phoebe said. She hugged Sasha again.
I saw the smile Sasha plastered on her face. It was tense and tight, but she was putting on a good face.
I slipped my arm around her shoulders and held her closer. Just under the smile, I knew there was a torrent of emotion ready to break free.
