Chapter 37: Heart Over Mind Over Matter

Jamie didn’t die of blood loss, but Logan’s joke about her being death now had merit. She certainly felt like death.

It was a lot like being sick, only you knew someone did it to you on purpose, unlike accidentally getting the flu, so not only did you feel like crap, you were also furious.

So, Jamie was not only forced to stay in bed drinking cranberry juice and sipping canned chicken noodle soup in a mug, she wasn’t even allowed to be up to punch the jerk who did this to her.

Valerie thought she was stupid for going through with it when they knew Andy was most likely lying, but Hallie and Ballie, while Jamie had never been in a pack with them, were still her friends, not to mention good people.

They’d do the same for her if she was injured and potentially dying. She could also have her dad ask how much blood they needed.
