Chapter 29: Inferno

"An... ex?"

Naia didn’t understand. It took Logan to clarify.

"Old flame," he said. Hopefully, that served for her brain to fathom.

Though, Shane just had to be extra. "More along the lines of a scorned lover who gets a wild d*ck up her ass every time Zamson's name is mentioned, OR Zamson just so happens to be near her proximity. She's one cold b*tch. And not because she's one of us."

If she felt jealous of another having Zamson, it did not exist above her skin. "What happened for her to be so unfavorable?"

Logan and Shane looked at Zamson hard. If they had buckets of popcorn, they'd be sitting back enjoying the coming tale.

Zamson eyed them both with mock annoyance. The two were like brothers. Finding every opportunity to f*ck with him. "She betrayed me."

Naia instantly understood him. "Her betrayal was necessary." Her pause was a tad dramatic. "She dismissed herself so that I may declare what is rightfully mine."
