Casandra believes that magic is for desperate people who gave up on their
chances of victory. The world is a harsh place where people abuse one another and you must have a thick skin to make it. Forgiveness is not on her list of attributes.
While on a trip to Alexandria with her archeologist father, she discovers an ancient crown which changes everything. The crown opens her eyes to a world of the dead, where dwells a young man who sets her world into a spiral. He shows her that many of her assumptions about her place in life, her ideas of reality, and most importantly, what she felt love was, are not real after all.

The two set off across the desert and even speak to the ancient voices of the oracles discovering who they are and were meant to be. The entwining love between them blossoms as they grow on their journey of adventure, battles, and struggles to become complete.

Lakis, amidst the confusion between Casandra and Set, grasped the staff of Isis from out of Casandra’s hand. As Set threatened her, he used his remaining strength to raise the staff and strike Set. As he wielded the staff, he felt a sudden surge of strength and power running through his body, which gave him the power to catch Casandra as she fell. He gently rested her on the ground, where her father ran over and held her. Lakis flew back to the skies to fight Set. He realized that this was the best way to make atonement for his crime against Casandra. He would fight off this monster and show her how much she means to him. 


“I know you,” hissed Set and they struck blow after blow at one another with their staffs. “You are her husband.” 


Lakis could not help but laugh at this remark and said, “No, she is the reincarnation of the goddess, Isis. I am just a street thief.” 


“You are a fool, indeed,” Set simply responded.
