When Ayami got to the office, everyone was quite shocked. They could already tell that something was wrong. Not only was the woman late for the first time, but from the bandage wrapped around her hands, it was clear that she had injured herself.
"Ma'am, wouldn't it be better to rest at home in such a situation?" Her secretary suggested, knowing that he was in no place to tell her what to do, but still dared to voice out his opinions.
"It's just a small injury," Ayami sighed as she brushed it off, "Do you think I'm that weak? Why would I fuss over such a small thing?"
Although she had said it so calmly, in all honesty, it did bother her quite a bit. She couldn't stop her hands from trembling, all she could do was hide them away and wear a facade of indifference.
"Then, for the party later today. I think you should cancel. It's not the time to be partying when such ominous things have been happening."
