Chapter 43

Caspian had woken up that day and he wondered if he should go see Aurora he thought against it, he would see her tonight rather.

Afternoon came and he had to go to his usual archery training as there might be a hunting competition soon.

He changed into his outfit and made his way to the court, he started his practice. Caspian noticed something red from the side and he knew it was Aurora.

He carried on practicing and he saw that she was trying to hide, and he liked the fact that she had sought him out and was watching him.

The sun was hot, and he knew he could not let her carry on standing there,

"How long are you going to stay hidden by the sun Aurora?"

Aurora came out of her hiding spot,

"Come here."

She walked up the stairs to the side and got to him, he put his bow and arrow to the side.

"Did you miss me?"

Aurora nodded, "I did."

Caspian pulled her into his arms, "I missed you too, I was going to come to your chambers tonight."

Aurora wrapped her hands around his torso, "I couldn't wait."

Caspian pulled back and he took the bow and arrow and placed it in her hands, he came behind her and held her hands as he helped her to aim.

The arrow hit the bullseye and she was surprised that he was so great at it. He took another arrow and did the same thing.

Caspian took the bow and arrow, he set it down. He took her hand and they went down the stairs

"You can help me freshen up." Said Caspian winking at her.

Aurora's face was red and she was sure of it, "stop teasing me."

"Who said I was teasing you Aurora, I am very much serious about this."

They got to his chambers and he closed the door, he started undressing in front of her, and Aurora turned away.

"Why are you turning away from me Aurora you have seen me like this before."

Aurora, "But still..."

Caspian hugged her from the back, and she could feel that he had no shirt on. He placed a dozen kisses on her cheek.

She laughed, "You need to and bath."

"Fine." Caspian let her go and he took her hand, she went with him to the bath chambers,

Aurora's eyes widened when he got fully undressed in front of her, she looked away as he climbed into the bath,

"Aurora I'm waiting."

"For?"

"Come and bathe me."

"Huh?"

"None of my servants are here so you are going to have to bathe me."

"I can get them for you."

"No, I want you."

Aurora chuckled and she went up to him, she got the scrub and stood behind him, she started to scrub his back.

"That feels amazing."

Aurora knew he was talking about her scrubbing him but she could not help that her mind went to the gutter.

She was enjoying scrubbing him and she saw some scars that she hadn't seen, Aurora wanted to take in this moment,

"Are you enjoying bathing me that much?"

She snapped out of the trance that she was in, "Yes I'm enjoying myself."

Caspian was taken aback by her honesty, "You really are becoming bolder by the day."

When the bath finished, he dressed in his normal attire.

"I need to go work at the library."

"Then I will wait for you to come later on tonight."

"Come with me Aurora you can be reading too."

Aurora was happy to be invited by him that he actually wanted her with him, she took his hand and they headed to the library.

She picked out a few books but she did not know how to read them, she paged through them looking at the pictures that popped up.

"Here." Caspian showed her,

"What does it say?"

"It's your name, Aurora."

"Oh wow, so this is how you write it." She was in awe of the characters on the paper, this was the first time she had ever seen her name written and that made her very happy. She could not contain herself.

"Do you like it?"

"I love it Caspian."

Aurora stopped at her tracks she had never called him that and she became shy when she had let it slip from her mouth.

She turned her head away, but Caspian put his hand lightly under her chin and turned it back around gently to him.

His eyes were filled with light and admiration, "I have always wanted you to call me by my name."

He leaned in and placed a soft kiss on her lips, there was so much emotion in it. She returned the favor by reciprocating the kiss.

"Call me again."

Aurora shook her head,

"Please my love."

Aurora could not refuse him as he had asked her so nicely and gently, "Caspian." She blushed when she let out the words.

She did not know why this made her all the shyer, but when she looked at Caspian all of that faded away, he was looking at her with so much adoration and she could not help but smile at him.

When she reached out to take the paper, Caspian took it before her, "You have to pay me for this."

"How must I pay you?"

"A kiss on the cheek will do My lady."

Aurora giggled and she leaned in to kiss him on the cheek but he turned his head and their lips met. He had tricked her but she was not mad at him.

"What a coincidence."

Aurora and Caspian pulled apart and it was Nadia, she felt an uneasy feeling in her stomach,

"I did not know you two would also be here," Nadia added as she sat down on the opposite side of Caspian,

"Afternoon My Lady." Aurora greeted her,

She had obviously seen them kissing and she still insisted.

"How do you fare Nadia?"

"I feel so much better now that you have asked Sire."

Aurora did not let it bother her that she ignored her but greeted him rather.

"What are you reading or writing, let me see." Said Nadia.

She leaned in and frowned a bit but it was gone in a matter of a second, "Nice of you to teach Aurora her name, I have been meaning to do it."

Caspian nodded, he handed her the paper with her name and folded it. She would look at it later.

She stood up, "If you will excuse me."

"Where are you going?" Caspian asked worriedly.

"I must take a nap, fatigue is taking over me." This time she was telling the truth, she had not gotten enough sleep last night.

Caspian nodded, "I'm here if you need me."

"Have a nice rest Aurora." Said Nadia.

"Thank you, My Lord, My Lady."

She headed out and went to her villa, she opened the paper with her name on it and smiled, so this was the way her name was written.

Aurora took a nap and was woken up by Eleanor calling for her,

"Come in."

"Tonight there is a dinner and all concubines must attend by the main dining hall."

"Alright, Eleanor you are excused."

She groaned, another ruined night,

When dinner time came she walked in, and as per usual she received sneers as she sat down.

"Did you hear Nadia is with the child according to the rumors?"

"I guess they finally tired of a certain concubine."

She ignored them and did not bother to look at them,

"The Prince and Princess have arrived."

They all stood as Caspian and Nadia walked in, side by side as it should be. She started to wonder if Caspian had tired of her.

She could not allow such thoughts to manifest, they all seated.

"It is wonderful to see you all here and thank you to the prince for gracing us with his presence." Nadia lifted her glass as she carried on, "A toast to the prince."

They all raised their glasses in unison, "A toast to the prince."
