Chapter 05: Princess Liliana.

It didn't take long before the students quickly agreed to Kouki's opinion and decision. They decided to unite and fight this war together with him.

Aiko, desperately, with her teary eyes, ran from one student to another trying to get them to give in, but ultimately, it was impossible. In the end, her students, who she should protect at all costs, already agreed to help in this war.

But how could humans, who lived in a world where 'peace' reigned, know the meaning of war?

While all this was going on, Nader was watching them out of the corner of his eye.

Ishtar, on the other hand, was full of smiles as he saw that they agreed. In all his speech, he emphasized the cruelty and tragedy that descended upon the humans to win over Kouki.

Ishtar explained to the students about Heilight's trained military that they were already prepared to receive them from tomorrow to start training. In this war, no matter how amazing the newly acquired powers of the students were, they were still simple students of a world without mana. It was simply impossible for them to throw themselves into the battlefield without any knowledge about magic, so they needed the training to learn how to fight.

Nader and the others were led to the main gate of the temple by Ishtar. Just as they exited through the great arches that made up the main gate of the temple, they were greeted by a beautiful sight of countless white clouds decorating the beautiful blue sky with a sun that painted some clouds with a reddish hue, making it even more mystical.

Nader realized that this place was powered by magic. After all, a place located at such a height would normally be uninhabitable for normal humans.

Ishtar nodded proudly at the sight of everyone in awe, but seeing Nadir, as usual, his expression changed for an instant as if he had chewed on a fly.

Then he urged everyone to move on. They walked down a majestic corridor made of the same white stone as the cathedral and climbed up to a huge circular pedestal that was surrounded by a fence. On the other side of the fence was a steep drop into the clouds below like a chasm, causing most of the students to huddle as close to each other as possible in the center of the pedestal. But the fear was outweighed by the curiosity they felt.

As they looked around, Ishtar began to chant aloud.

"Faith is the key that unlocks the way to the heavenly path."

The magic circle that was engraved on the pedestal began to emit a blinding light as she finished conjuring. All the students began to cause an uproar as they were excited to witness their first display of magic in this world.

Nader looked down and saw a small kingdom. The kingdom was in the shape of a circle with high walls that made it impossible for one to invade through the earth. In the center of the kingdom lay a huge castle that resembled an ancient castle from his world.

A few moments later, Nader and the others landed on top of the massive palace and were soon escorted to the throne room. The corridors were as majestic as the temple had been. Along the way, they passed knights, servants, maids, and even nobles. Everyone looked in awe and admiration at the summoned ones, but without a doubt, the one who received the most attention was Nadir, who was humming as he walked down the hallway and looked curiously at the maidservants' clothes.

'Mmm, I wonder if these clothes would fit Levana,' he murmured in his thoughts as he imagined Levana in those clothes. A smile decorated her face, 'Yes, it would surely fit her perfectly...'.

Unbeknownst to Nader, in a different dimension, where no one else could set foot, a beautiful Goddess was lying as she rolled on the ground and smiled foolishly.

"Hehehehe...~". Her melodious laughter that would make one have eternal peace if they heard it, traveled through his empty Domain.

Ishtar and the group stopped in front of a huge double door, on which numerous designs were engraved. Two guards standing on either side of the door stood at attention and loudly announced the group's arrival.

Ishtar passed through the door, being followed by the shy students who looked around, eager to meet royalty. Nader, on the other hand, was already quite accustomed to the ways of the nobles, so he was not interested in their etiquette.

Inside the room, from the huge door to the back wall, was a long red carpet. In the end, there was a step leading up to the throne. Standing in front of the throne were 4 people standing, a middle-aged man who was the king, next to him was the Queen and next to her were two children with blonde hair and blue eyes; a girl and a boy.

On the left side of the carpet was an orderly row of soldiers dressed in the armor of the kingdom. On the right side, were a row of officers who were dressed in a different manner than the soldiers, possibly wizards.

Once they were right in front of the throne, Ishtar left the students and walked towards the king, offered him her hand, who took it reverently and kissed it with the rose of his lips. This scene gave Nader goosebumps.

'Just as I thought, the kingdom is controlled by the church.' He thought inwardly as the others introduced themselves.

From the moment Nader had set foot in this place, Liliana's eyes were fixed on his figure, making her cheeks heat up.

Followed by all the introductions, a great banquet was organized inside the palace where everyone could take a seat and enjoy it.

Everyone except Nader ate their meals. This caught the attention of some people. The nobles of the kingdom looked at him with a frown as he thought it was quite disrespectful.

Not caring, Nader looked curiously at the colorful badges some of the warriors and mages pulled out as some scoffed and others rejoiced.

'Statistical? Does that badge have a similar function to my system?' He thought as he listened to their conversations.

He added another mental note in his mind to check out this status badge. The first was to find a library and gather all the information needed to start mobilizing in this world.

All he knew so far from the Pope's explanation were the location of the Kingdom, which was at the foot of Mount Divine, and the main temple of the Holy Church, which was in the backyard of the kingdom. Plus the territories of the other races, something he was not interested in for now.

Nader snapped out of his thoughts when he felt someone approaching where he was.

Princess Liliana stood in front of him and sat down with typical nobleman etiquette.

Many people stopped eating and turned their attention to the two of them. After all, the princess, instead of going with the numerous heroes, went where the only person who came was.

Nader's heterochromatic eyes were riveted on the beautiful blonde-haired blue-eyed girl who was surrounded by a noble aura with a friendly smile on her face.

"Do you need something, Princess?" asked Nadir.

"You don't have to call me in such a formal way, you can call me Liliana," Liliana smiled as she hid her mouth with her small hands.

"Well, if you say so...", he shrugged, "you can call me, Nader".

Liliana nodded and continued, "Nader.... didn't you like the food the chefs prepared? If so, I can have another portion of food prepared for you."

"No need. I had already eaten before I came to this world, so I am not hungry."

Liliana felt that he was lying to her, she more or less knew that he didn't completely trust them, but there was nothing she could do about it either. After all, they had only met seconds ago.

She also noticed that he was quite calm, unlike the other summoned ones, who still kept their anxious expressions.

"Nader, are you from a different world than the other heroes?".

Nader nodded, "Yes, I am from a world similar to this one."

Liliana's eyes sparkled with happiness: 'If your previous world was similar to this one, then it is certain that you already know about fighting. Perhaps he will be of great help to our kingdom.' Liliana thought, not knowing that Nader had no intention of getting involved in her wars.

Throughout the banquet, Liliana and Nader continued to talk quietly with each other. They talked about various topics that made them a little familiar with each other. Nader had noticed that Liliana was a rather curious girl, she was also a dutiful follower of Ehit's word.

'I wonder how she would react if Ehit showed his true colors. That she possibly only uses its inhabitants as pawns for amusement'. He thought.

Of course, he didn't know if his assumptions were correct or not. But from his point of view, and his own past experiences, he could tell that at least he wasn't so wrong.

Once the meal was over, the summoned were introduced to the instructors with whom they would spend the next few days training.

Because the King wanted to strengthen the bond between the kingdom and the summoned ones for the coming war, he decided to choose between the ranks of the knights who were in service and the court mages as their trainers.

Once the introductions were finished, Nader said goodbye to Liliana, and they were all guided to their rooms.

Nader entered his room and found a huge canopied bed in the luxurious room, worthy of a castle interior.

He walked over to it, took off his clothes, and lay down on the bed. He was not exhausted but decided to rest for today to start making his preparations to start moving tomorrow.
