MSL - Back On The Track

Back To The Track

I couldn't fall into sleep even though I had heard Christ's soft snoring. I don't know, should I stay in this room in his arms or leave him and go to my room. But all night I thought, there have been through so many bad events that have happened both to me and to Christ since we were together. Did I bring bad luck to his life or something, but lately the days we've been through have been really bad.

I turned my head towards Christ and he was really on his deep sleep. I guess he wouldn't know if I secretly left him and went back to my room. I lowered Christ's hand wrapped around my stomach then inched slowly and stood on tiptoe towards the door.

I glanced at the door handle and after I opened the door, I took the time to look at him once more. Seeing the man fast asleep was a precious scene that rarely happened before me, and this time I saw him with great satisfaction.

I closed the door to Christ's room and went to my room. I had my laptop and opened my email, a pile of homework for me from some courses that I had missed because I had to lie in the hospital for a while. I quickly picked up some of the books I had taken from Christ's library and started working on my assignments.

It's crazy, so many things I've missed over the last fifteen days and now it's time for me to catch up with my world. I don't want my college to fall apart, because this is my dream even though there are other, no less beautiful dreams that come with it.

At three o'clock, it was the last time I paid attention to the clock and I was still finishing my last paper. It wasn't until chapter two and it felt like my bones were all aching from having to sit in an uncomfortable position. My eyes even started to watery from staring at my laptop screen too much.

I was shocked to wake up and immediately looked towards the clock. Oh no I'm going to be late for my morning lecture, and today Christ is going to fill the first lecture.

I squealed into the bathroom and rushed to take a shower and change clothes. As I walked out of the room and walked through the hallway with a pile of books in my hand as well as my bag I meet one of the house maid.

She said to me, "Mr. Hudson asks you to have breakfast before leaving."

"I'm so hasty." I answered.

"But . . ."

"I'll have breakfast after I get to campus." I quickly ran away from her and headed for the first floor, there was already a man standing waiting for me.

"I'll take you to your campus, Mss. Dimitri." The man bowed politely.

"I can go by myself." I creaked my eyebrows and slowed my path down.

"It's already eight o'clock in fifteen minutes, you will be an hour late if you ride a bicycle."

"Oh." I muttered inwardly. "Ok" I resigned myself in the end.

"I'm, Oscar Dunk."

"Ok, Mr. Dunk, take me to campus as soon as you can." I opened the dossier in my bag. Christ was cruel, he punished me with a pile of tasks that he never even alluded to while we were together.

I walked into the classroom and Christ was teaching.

"Sorry sir, I'm late." I stood in the doorway.

"Mss. Dimitri?" Christ's eyebrows rose by one. "I'm not used to torerate the delay of my student." He glanced at his alloji, oh, he can actually behave like this to me in front of others?

"But since it's only been ten minutes I'll understand." He said again, looking at me. "Please come in."

"Thank you sir." I walked into the dand uduk class beside Stef.

"Where have you been, why did you just show up?" Stef asked. I even read all those headlines but no one realized that the girl in the headline was me?

"I . . . I have to meet my family Newzeland." My lie.

"Oh, you suck so much. You didn't even give me any news."

I smiled. "Sorry Stef, the situation is complicated."

"Mss. Dimitri, I've given you a chance to get into my class even though you're late and now you're busy chatting with your friend?" I looked at Christ, couldn't believe he was doing this to me.

"My room is over, you have to have consequences for your deeds today." He said and I was downcast.

"Yes sir." Stef was downdued as well as me, and the class came back seriously for the next hour.

"Damn, he was so fierce today." Stef swears.

"Who?" I asked.

"Mr. Hudson, I thought he wouldn't be so hard." Stef said.

"No problem, I will go to the room and accept the consequences of the fierce lecturer." I'm really good at coding I guess, because Stef believed that Christ would punish me for real.

"But it's my fault, I took you to chat in class just now."

"It doesn't matter Stef, I guess he's been angry with me since I was late for his class today."

"Yes I think so, but I'll come with you in the room. Maybe you need a defense."

I smiled. "Believe me, it won't be difficult for me to accept the punishment."

"Ok." Stef looked remorseful and I left him, stepping my feet surely towards the room of the fierce lecturer. In my heart smiled, it's really ridiculous when we act every time for the sake of covering up this relationship.

I reached the door of his room and knocked on the door, but I saw from between the slightly open doors that mss. Elie Hwait was inside. They both stared towards the door but I saw Mss. Hwait walking towards the door and closing the door tightly.

WHAT? Why should they talk to the door tightly closed?

I waited uneasily, what they might be doing in my head. How could the woman with a premium size chest, lips full of fiery red lipstick and a pencil skirt that revealed her round buttocks was teasing Christ. Damn, why did they take so long?

I was almost desperate and barged in if only the woman hadn't suddenly opened the door and walked out of the room. He even had a chance to look at me.

"You're a first-level female college student, right?" She asked.

"Yes mam." My nod.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"Mr. Hudson asked me to his room to give me a task." I replied formally.

"Ok, take the task and leave quickly."

I ranted my eyebrows but then I smiled, without having to answer. After the woman had actually left my presence, I knocked on Christ's room door back and he let me in. I walked in with no smile at all that adorned my face.

"You didn't eat your breakfast today?" He asked.

I sighed deeply, it felt like there was a big rock holding my throat. "Just give me a punishment and I'll leave right away." I said short.

"Hey, what is going on with you? You are angry that I punished you in front of your friends?" He asked.

I swallowed. "I don't even matter if you punish me in front of everyone." I said shortly without looking at him.

"Then why with your face, there is a problem? You don't like the driver who drove you?"

"Treat me like a college student, if you want to give me a task or punishment, just give it and I will leave quickly." I said. Christ stood up from his chair and walked over to me. He grabbed my face and I shook off his hand.

"Don't touch me." I said quietly, although I didn't really want to say it but Christ had heard it I guess.

"You mad at me?" He asked, looking at me deeply.

"Just give me an email for my punishment. I'll go now." I walked out of his room with a jealously burning chest. I don't know mss. Hwait's face really made me want to rage at everyone who asked me to talk. I even left the driver in the car and left quietly out of the campus, walking towards the tavern. Today there is only a morning lecture and the rest I can finish in the coffee shop with other feelings, because the atmosphere must be different.

As for Christ, I'll forget it at a glance. That's what I needed, leaving everything about Christ for a while and taking a breather for myself. Lately my world has been centered on Christ until I almost lost my true self.
