Lia Pov:
~6 months later~
With Mara in my arms I carefully climb the crumbling steps into the mostly intact building. I didn't even need to look down to feel Mara's excitement
"This has to be it, all the clues lead here! Even though this building has been checked before, they had to have missed something."
While Mara talked, I continued our exploration forward. We explored for what felt like hours until Mara called stop and motioned me to bring her closer to the wall. They examine the wall, lifting their arm to study the material and such of the wall.
"Lia, please hit this wall hard."
I look into Mara's eyes then carefully set her down and hit the wall. The wall crumbled to near dust, small chunks littering the floor. In the now revealed hole, was what looked like a pile of wood surrounding a small fruit, less than the size of a fist. I reach out and grab it using my magic to scan it. The more I study it the more I know that this is it, the Anima magic nearly overwhelmed my senses. I get down on one knee and present the fruit to Mara. They carefully look at the fruit, their eyes nearly glowing, and swallows it in one longing bite. For a short while nothing happened then, Mara's eyes glowed and I watched their leg move slightly. I give Mara a bright smile and sweep them into a hug, tears forming in my eyes. We did it, it's real.
