Polar Opposites…

Tetsuya—Kyōko in his body—sat on the bed. Sachiko stood at the door. Her wide-open eyes made it obvious that her mind was as blank as mine.

My chest tightened when Kyōko and I looked at each other again. Her dropped jaw and her quivering body brought the memories of the first time I swapped bodies with Sachiko and Jun back. They didn't make me feel much now, but it was dreadful when it happened.

"Why is this happening?" Kyōko trembled as she inspected Tetsuya's body under the sheet. "What… what am I supposed to do?"

"It's okay," I replied. "We might be the best people to be around in this situation."

She looked up at me and stopped shaking.

"You're right. I'll…" —she breathed deeply—"compose myself."

Sachiko stepped into the room but stayed at the entrance.

"Good," she smiled.

I said, "To answer your questions, you and Tetsuya must've touched each other yesterday, and that started the swapping process."
