Great Games VII

My heart beat faster as the minutes and seconds on the big screen on the stage counted down. I was about to witness a G3 conference in person, and my game was less than two hours away from being revealed to the world.

Workers rushed to move stuff off the stage and sweep it, while people in the audience kept walking in and out of the hall.

Sachiko tapped her phone swiftly, and I couldn't help but look at the screen.

"Is everything okay?" I asked her.

"Yes. Mr. Yutaka just told me everything's good to go, so I was telling them we're all ready to watch them and wished them good luck."

"That's great to hear," I said as I moved in my seat to get more comfortable.

Sachiko stared at me. "Are you nervous?"

"Aren't you?"

"Of course I am, but I'm more…"

"More excited than nervous," I finished the sentence for her. "Me too."

We smiled at each other before I turned to see the screen again.
