Sharp Life

Tetsuya finally turned around, staring down at his hand raised in front of his stomach. A handle stuck out of it.

"Tetsuya?" Sachiko said.

She ran to him, looked down at the handle, and said something before helping Tetsuya lie on the ground.

What's…?

"Rie," Sachiko called as she tapped the screen of her phone, kneeling beside Tetsuya. "Go upstairs to tell them the situation."

"But…"

"Go now, I'll stay with him."

His eyes were open, staring at the sky. The handle in his stomach moved up and down slightly.

I turned around and stepped into the building. One blink later, I was pushing the door of the office to walk in. I glanced at the desks from right to left.

Kyōko stood up and approached me. "Hey, why are you standing here? Had another rough night?"

I wanted to answer, but my jaw wouldn't stop trembling.

"Are you okay?" she asked.
