Chapter 582: The Child, Gone

William Griffith stared intently into her eyes, trying to find a hint of jest, but he couldn't find any. He had imagined meeting her a thousand times, and he had imagined the words he would say to her when they met. If she asked him whether he was doing well or not, he could not answer, and he would not answer.

But he guessed the beginning and didn't guess the ending.

William never thought that she would say those words.

How have you been lately?

I am married now.

"Cherish Turner, where is our child? Where have you hidden our child, and how dare you marry someone else with my child?"

Damn this woman!

Cherish's eyes flickered, as if William had touched the most painful part of her heart.

Taking a deep breath, she finally said, "The child is gone."

Gone...gone...

William seemed not to understand.

"When we went to the hospital, the child was still there…" How could it be gone?
