First phase of training.

Hugo had completed ten push-ups now, and he was still going, he knew he was gonna complete the twenty push-ups. By the time he got to fifteen, his hands started wiggling a little due to the energy he used in completing the first round of push-ups, but he kept on going.

Fifteen moved to eighteen, and eighteen moved to twenty, and he was done. He lay on the ground, but his breathing wasn't as heavy as the first one. Still lying on the ground, the system's interface appeared in front of him while hearing the voice of the system,

[ Ding! Ding!]

[ Quest accomplished, you completed push-ups tasks]

[ Reward: +20 Exp]

A smile appeared on Hugo's face, yeah, he completed the f**king quest, and he's earned Exp from it. Captain Wayne strolled to where Hugo was lying and said to him,

"Stand up".

And Hugo did so, he stood up from the ground. Then he inquired of Hugo,

"Do you know why I told you to do those push-ups?".

"Umm..it would benefit my body system?". Hugo retorted.

"True, it would benefit your body in many ways. It would help in building your body's upper strength, it would help with your body posture, and so on. Now, it's time to move to the other training, it's time to move to the martial arts training".

After Captain Wayne was done making that utterance, he moved some meters away from, Hugo. Then he stood straight positioning his hands to his back, then he said to, Hugo,

"Attack me".

"What?". Hugo uttered with a confused facial expression.

"Attack me". Captain Wayne repeated.

"So you mean, when I get to you, I'm free to punch you in the face".

"Yeah".

"OK then".

Hugo prepared, positioned his body in a way, then he began running towards Captain Wayne. His right palm was fisted, he aimed to punch Captain Wayne in the face. He got to where Captain Wayne was standing and swung his hand to punch him in the face, but Captain Wayne moved aside a little with ease as Hugo's hand swung past.

Hugo was surprised, like, what just happened? This was a person he wanted to punch right now, but with just a little shift from him, his hand swung past? Without wasting time, Hugo threw another punch, but Captain Wayne bent a little as Hugo's hand swung past once again. What! It happened again? With determination to hit his face this time, Hugo swung his hand with speed while shouting,

"Arghhhhh".

Captain Wayne didn't dodge the incoming punch this time, he caught his hand and gave him a little punch in the stomach, but that little punch was enough to make Hugo lose his stamina. He almost fell to the ground, but he held himself. It was at this moment that Hugo realized that this wasn't a joke, Captain Wayne was dodging his attacks like it was nothing.

He glanced at Captain Wayne with a serious facial expression, then Captain Wayne said to him,

"Attack me, boy, don't just stand there".

Now, Hugo had a plan in mind, he wouldn't just give Captain Wayne a straight attack, he'll try to confuse him. He began running towards him once again with a fisted right palm. The moment he got to where he was standing, he made it seem like he wanted to punch him in the face, but he suddenly changed position.

He moved to Captain Wayne's side and tried to kick him in his leg so he'll lose his stamina. But Captain Wayne was too fast, he lifted his left leg as Hugo's leg swung past, then he moved back a little. Hugo didn't relent, as Captain Wayne was moving back, he was running towards him. He got to where Captain Wayne was and tried to give him another kick, this time, he aimed for his neck...the kick was gonna hit Captain Wayne's neck.

But too bad, Captain Wayne caught his leg and kicked him in the chest 'causing Hugo to fly off. Hugo landed on the ground and rolled a little. Getting up from the ground was a little hard for him at that moment, his landing on the ground was a bit rough, but at least, he didn't break anything. He stood up from the ground, glanced at Captain Wayne, and uttered,

"That kick was a bit hard".

"I don't plan on taking it easy on you, boy. To become stronger, you have to experience pain, you have to pass through hard training. Why don't you attack me again". Captain Wayne said.

Hugo sighed a little and said, "No, I won't. I don't want a heavy kick landing on my chest again".

Captain Wayne laughed a little and voiced out, "As I've said, you have to experience pain to become stronger. How would you become stronger if I don't train you hard? OK, let me give you this clue. Don't just focus on attacking and trying to confuse me. From what you did last, you were trying to confuse me, but it didn't work. Why don't you try dodging too?

Let's say, you attacked me, you came with a punch, but I dodged it. You came with another punch, but I dodged it once again. At that moment, I would aim to hit you next, why don't you try dodging that attack of mine? To dodge it, you'll have to be really fast. If you dodge it successfully, an opening would show up, I'll be vulnerable at that moment. If you're fast enough, you could hit me, and that's a win for you,

He breathed in and out once again, then he began running towards the captain. He aimed to punch him in the face again, but he was gonna do that with sense this time, he would do that in a way that wouldn't leave Captain Wayne much opening to attack him. And even if he does attack him, he'll try his very best to dodge his attack.

He got to where Captain Wayne was standing and threw the punch at him, but with a little shift, he dodged the attack. Immediately, Hugo threw another punch, but Captain Wayne dodged it once again and came with his attack, his right palm was fisted...he aimed to punch Hugo in the face. But there wasn't much force to the punch, he doesn't want to see blood.

Using what he was taught not too long ago, he bent his head a little as Captain Wayne's punch swung past. And at that moment, an opening showed up, if Hugo was fast enough, he could punch Captain Wayne in the face or the stomach. He threw a punch, this time, aiming for his stomach. But Captain Wayne was too fast, he dodged the punch with an abrupt turn of body, and Hugo's punch missed target.

Now, that created an opening for Captain Wayne. That punch Hugo was supposed to give him, he gave it to him instead. He hit Hugo in the stomach, and though there wasn't much force to the punch, Hugo moved back and almost lost stamina. Would it be possible to hit Captain Wayne? He wasn't sure.

He glanced at Captain Wayne and questioned, "Would it be possible to hit you?".

"Yes, it's possible, with more effort".

"I don't think so".

"It's hundred percent possible, am not supernatural?".

"I think I know what the problem is". Hugo voiced out.

"What problem?". Captain Wayne inquired.

"Why I haven't been able to hit you".

"What is the problem then?".

"I've been the one attacking, I've been attacking first. Why don't you attack first this time".

"Seriously?".

"Yeah".

"OK then, let's do it that way".

Hugo stood in a way that indicates, 'Boss'. Then he said to Captain Wayne,

"Attack me".

A smile appeared on Captain Wayne's face, this boy was trying to mimic him. The smile vanished from his face, then he began running towards Hugo. The moment he got to where Hugo was standing, he threw a kick...f**k, the kick was so swift and powerful. But Hugo still managed to dodge it, he didn't know how he did it, but he dodged it.

To know how powerful the kick was, Hugo felt breeze blow his face and clothing, holy shit! But he wasted no time as he threw his kick also, he did it swiftly. But it was an easy dodge for Captain Wayne, and before Hugo's leg could even land on the ground, Captain Wayne was already coming with another kick.

It was a different type of kick...a shadow kick.
