Personal training.

There was an opening 'cause Hugo's sword wasn't appropriately placed in his hands again. Captain Wayne dodged it, and it swung past. For someone that wasn't that good at sword fighting yet, he'll need some seconds to hold his sword properly again, but Captain Wayne doesn't plan on giving him that chance.

Immediately, he swung his wooden sword as he hit Hugo in the leg, and Hugo let out the word, 'Ow'. Before Hugo could even finish feeling the pain, he gave him a fake stab in the stomach. Then what followed next right after that? A good kick in the stomach, there wasn't much force to the kick though. He wanted to accomplish what he didn't accomplish.

The kick was enough to make Hugo lose balance completely. This wasn't like the first kick where he was able to retain his balance after he sighted Captain Wayne heading towards him. By the time he regained his balance, Captain Wayne was already in front of him as he placed his wooden sword close to his neck, 'victory'.

Hugo sighed and uttered, "You finally accomplished what you wanted to accomplish. Yeah, the wooden sword is close to my neck now".

"Yeah, I did it. If it were to be a real sword, then...."

Hugo knew what Captain Wayne wanted to say, so he didn't allow him speak finish before cutting him short,

"I know, I know, if it were to be a real sword, my head would fall to the ground or my neck would be slashed badly".

"Exactly".

Hugo sighed, then Captain Wayne uttered to him once again, "You've got a lot of personal training to do, I know it won't take you much time to become good at sword fighting. At least, it took you a week to pass average in martial arts".

Hugo only nodded his head, then their training continued. They didn't begin with the sword fighting immediately, Captain Wayne just reminded Hugo about some basic things of sword fighting. That one took minutes on its own, then they resumed with the sword fighting.

There would be no lunch for everyone in the Lotus sage academy today, yeah, it was a normal thing, they had gotten used to it. Even Hugo had gotten used to it, at least, within the days he had spent in this academy, there were times when they ate lunch. Captain Wayne and Hugo's training had gotten close to its climax.

Time had passed as it was evening already. Many students were done with their training, they had evacuated the compound. Both the ones that were learning how to make use of guns, the ones that were learning how to use their weapons, and so on. Even the F and S class students that were training had left the compound already.

But that doesn't mean that there weren't students on the compound anymore, there were students, and there were teachers...but very few. Throughout the rest of Captain Wayne and Hugo's training, none of Hugo's attacks touched Captain Wayne...as expected. But Hugo wasn't discouraged, it was like this when he was learning martial arts.

Their training had climaxed already, and this is what Captain Wayne said to, Hugo,

"We are done with today's sword training, we'll resume tomorrow, I gotta go rest. You can engage in personal training, let's see if any of your attacks would touch me tomorrow. Dinner would soon be ready, so if you wanna do some personal training, once it's time to eat, head over to the cafeteria immediately, we didn't eat lunch. Hand the wooden sword over to me".

"I'll need it to train". Hugo said.

"Oh! that's true, once you done using it, make sure to come give it to me in my office".

"OK, I'll do that".

And with that, Captain Wayne sauntered away. Hugo and some other students were the ones remaining on the compound, and Hugo planned on diving straight into the personal training. He wanted at least one of his sword attacks to touch Captain Wayne tomorrow. But he wasn't gonna dive into the sword training immediately, he had something in mind.

Something he did before diving into the sword training with Captain Wayne...he wanted to try some more jumping. Captain Wayne taught him how to jump down from high places before they dived into the sword training, he wanted to practice it. So he strolled to the pole, dropped the wooden sword on the ground, and began climbing the pole.

Getting to the top of the pole, he stood on top of the round surface, then he jumped down. His landing on the ground was so smooth, he had to squat though, his body had gotten used to it. He felt like doing some more, so he began climbing the pole once again. Getting to the top, he repeated the same thing, stood on top of the round surface, and jumped down.

He was enjoying the feeling, and he wasn't done yet. He repeated the same stuff two times before he was satisfied. Now, it was about time to move to another training. He wanted to work on his body's upper strength, so he decided that he was gonna complete twenty push-ups at that moment.

He lay on the ground using his palms to support his whole body, then he started going up and down, the push-ups had started. Before he knew it, he had completed twenty push-ups. Now that he was done with that, it's time to move to the sword training. He picked up the wooden sword and began practicing sword fighting.

He wasn't fighting anyone, so it was just like he was attacking the air, just like how he did when he was practicing martial arts. He kept on swinging his sword practicing the different styles of sword fight Captain Wayne taught him. He was also working on his attack speed. Now, sword fight is different from martial arts.

His attack speed in martial arts was good now, more than average. But his attack speed in sword fighting wasn't that good. Fighting with your bare hands and feet is different from holding a weapon in your hand, you'll have to be able to control that weapon. He kept on training and training even when it had gotten to the time for everyone to head over to the cafeteria to eat dinner.

He failed to heed Captain Wayne's words, 'Once it's time to eat, head over to the cafeteria immediately'. That urge to keep training was still in him, he was enjoying what he was doing, it just felt like he was an S class student at that moment. He was still training when he heard a voice behind him say,

"Hey, Hugo".

He turned around to see Everett walking towards him. He reached where Hugo was standing and said to him,

"Aren't you gonna come eat? Everyone is heading to the cafeteria, and you're here training?", Then he said jokingly, "It isn't only you that want to become stronger. Let's head to the cafeteria, we didn't even eat lunch".

"OK, let's go". Hugo uttered as he had already stopped training.

He and Everett began strolling to the cafeteria. Getting close to the cafeteria, Hugo said to Everett,

"Go on".

"Don't tell me you want to go resume training". Everett said.

"No, why would I do that? I wanna go drop something in our room".

"OK. but at least, I should see you in the cafeteria in the next three minutes, if I don't see you within that period, then I'll take it like you resumed training".

"I'll be at the cafeteria before three minutes".

"OK then".

With that, the both of them went separate ways. Hugo wanted to go drop the wooden sword inside the room, it wouldn't be nice carrying the sword inside the cafeteria. Like, did you come here to eat or to fight? Everett sighted the wooden sword in his hand, but he didn't want to ask him anything regarding it, they might talk about it later.

Hugo got to the room and kept the wooden sword under his belongings, the bag Miya gave him to put all his clothes and other essential stuff. Done with that, he departed from the compartment heading straight to the cafeteria. The moment Hugo entered the cafeteria, he sighted Everett, and Everett gave him the nod.

Which means, 'You kept to your words'. As usual, the cooks had prepared something delicious for dinner. The serving had already begun, and when the food got to Hugo, he began rushing it. Why was he rushing it? He wanted to resume his training as fast as possible. If possible, he wants to be the first person to finish eating in this cafeteria.

But no, he wouldn't be able to achieve that, some people had already finished eating and were strolling out of the cafeteria, people that were served on time. But Hugo was almost done eating though.
