THE YOUNG BILLIONAIRE'S GUTS

Chapter Eight

The Young Billionaire's Guts

Wednesday Morning

There were notifications on the notice boards. The security guards shot six criminals. The report said that they were found loitering around the school premises at night and were shot in the legs. The security men simply took the credit. The six criminals were shot by Jeff's security guards the previous morning when they were about to attack him in the classroom. After they were shot, they ran away with bullet wounds and since they could not run far, they hid in different hideouts hoping to escape at night. They were about getting into their cars, when a security guard spotted them and alerted the other security men. They had been handed over to the police. One of them was Ben-G, when he was unable to contract a professional to eliminate Jeff, he decided to do it himself by recruiting two more people to his gang.

The Students came to the school and walked to their various classes. Jeff walked into his class as usual and greeted everyone before he took his seat."

"Good morning all,"

"Good morning Jeff, thank you for yesterday's treat."

"It is my pleasure."

"My friends wished to port to our department."

One of them said. The class laughed out loud. Another person chipped in.

"Let your friends know that we also solve Financial Accounts and Statistics. It is not just food."

They laughed the more. Jeff, who was not good at cracking jokes, only laughed along with others. Shortly, the lecturer walked in, and the class became quiet.

"Good morning class."

"Good morning, Mr. Noah."

Mr. Noah gave the guidelines on the Mini Project they must write before the Main Project in the final year.

"Take down the question for your individual Mini Project.

(In five thousand words and above, write How to start and grow a business. With the case study of the company of your choice).

"Is that gotten?"

"Yes Mr. Noah."

"Thank you. Any questions?"

"Yes, Mr. Noah."

"Yes, go ahead with your questions."

"How many marks do you allot to the Mini Project?"

"Sorry. I should have informed you before now. It carries forty percent, while your examination carries sixty percent."

"That is not bad. One more question, Mr. Noah. What are the likely secrets of getting the forty marks?"

"That's a serious question. I'm not supposed to reveal this to you."

The class began to persuade him.

"Please tell us."

"Are we not friends anymore?"

"Don't you want our department to remain at the top?"

He laughed hysterically, and the class laughed along with him.

"All right. You have won. The secret lies on your case study."

"Wow!"

The lecturer paused and looked at their faces and continued.

"Are you surprised? But that is the secret. The project is to expose you to the business world. You cannot be a successful Accountant in any organization if you do not know the organization generates revenue. That is just the secret. The bigger your case study, the bigger the mark. I wish you good luck."

Their spirits went low. How can they score forty percent in this project since they did not have any relationship with the big companies? Most of them if not all were from the big families with big businesses, but their businesses cannot be compared with the likes of the Cherry Fields Oil and Gas Group or The Endless Love Arcadia, whose owners were mysterious. The children of the staff were forbidden from disclosing where their parents work. To be on the safer side, the staff send their children to schools abroad.

The lecturer gave the lecture for that day and left with an encouraging message for them,

"If you need any assistance with the project, please do not hesitate to contact me? Have a nice day."

"Thank you sir. Have a nice day."

Jeff was not thinking of what they were thinking. Most of them were thinking of Cherry Fields Oil and Gas Group while he was thinking of Endless Love Arcadia. He checked his time and felt like visiting the place at once. He gave Leon a call, but he did not pick his call.

'He must be busy with lecture.'

He thought. He looked at Sidney who was by his side and looked moody. Not only that, but he interrupted his thought.

"Sidney."

"Yes, Jeff."

He responded with a husky voice.

"I want to leave for somewhere. I will be back before the third lecture."

"What about the second lecture?"

"I can forego it. I will be back."

He got up immediately to avoid further questions. He sent a message to Leon and his grandfather before he left with his aids and guards. The drive from his school to the Endless Love Acadia was between thirty and forty minutes, depending on the traffic. By this time, the rush hour was over, and the traffic was light. Within the shortest time, they were at the Endless Love Arcadia. The security at the gate did their checking and permitted him to go in when they discovered that his unattractive car was not what they thought. He parked at the available parking space, followed by his aid. He got down, adjusted his casual wear and set out for the shop. Likewise, he was greeted by the smiling front desk officer, who requested to know his mission.

"Good day ma'am."

Jeff greeted with his right hand plunged into his pants' pocket.

"A good day to you. Welcome to Endless Love Arcadia. How may I help you?"

"Thank you. My name is Jeffery Israel. I'm a student of the Eagles City University. I want to start my Mini Project and I have chosen your organization as my Case Study."

The front desk officer was temporarily befuddled before she regained composure.

'This boy has got some guts.'

She thought before she could give her response.

"I'm sorry young man because I may disappoint you. We do not entertain such request."

"I see. What if I say you are already entertaining me? Disappointing a client is part of my set of questions. Will it be proper if I tick 'yes' as my first discovery?"

The Front Desk Officer was speechless. She felt she had not represented her organization well.

"It is not what you think, young man."

Jeff was beginning to enjoy the little drama. He was beginning to gain dominance over the young lady of about twenty-seven years old. He squared his shoulder and requested with extreme confidence in his tone and asked.

"Will you also disappoint me if I request to see the manager or anyone who believes that the continuity of a business of this magnitude depends on the cordial relationship you have with the public, most, especially the youths."?

The lady feared making more mistakes. She excused herself and left.

"Excused me, please. I will be right back."

"I'm waiting."

Jeff introduced himself as a student, but he was exhibiting the demeanor of a successful Chief Executive Officer or an Investigative Journalist. The lady came back with a young man of about thirty-five years old. He greeted the student turned Young Billionaire.

"Good day, young man. I am the Operations Manager. Sorry, we kept you waiting. Could you please fill our visitor's form stating your purpose of visit clearly? We will send your form to the appropriate quarters."

He pleaded, handing the form over to him in a respectable manner.

"Thank you so much for your understanding."

He said, as he collected the form and filled out his necessary details before handing it over to the man in a dignified manner and demanded.

"How long am I expected to wait?"

The man was also beginning to fidget,, but he was better than the lady in comportment.

"Will I be asking for too much if I request you wait for our call? We will definitely get back to you before this time tomorrow."

"That will make my day."

"All right."

"I will be waiting. Have a nice day."

"Have a nice day, too."
