"How do you know about Max?" Zack asked as he and Jade were having breakfast.
"We met on the street and got to know each other."
"Then you fell in love with him right away?"
Jade shrugged her shoulders, but she also nodded her head. While putting jam on her white bread, she glanced at Zack who was looking at her.
"What?" Jade asked.
"Nothing. Look, how many times have I told you to be careful with the people you meet, Jade. Especially since Max is a stranger," Zack explained.
"He's nice and he's no longer a stranger, Dad."
"You trust strangers that much. I just want you to be careful, that's all."
Jade took a bite of her jam while looking at Zack. She chewed it until she had a chance to talk to her super protective father.
"Actually, what are you hiding from me, Dad? You're way too suspicious of strangers, you know," Jade asked.
Jade wanted to know if her father would come clean with her or keep his mouth shut. Zack just shook his head.
"I have nothing to hide. But well, if Max is a nice guy then I'll try to believe it."
"Well, you have to believe it. I'm going to college then. Bye, Dad!"
Starting the car, she took a bite of her jam bun and held it there. Then Jade started driving the car with a smile and a shake of her head. Knowing her father never will open up to her about who he is, makes her a bit disappointed.
"Good morning, Sweetheart," said the voice Jade had been waiting for a long time.
"Hi! Good morning!"
"Let me drive," Max told her.
Jade and Max swap positions while the car is still running. Then Jade kissed Max on the lips and she smiled as she let go.
"I hope you don't get tired of seeing me every day, Jade."
"Of course not. I've been waiting for you, Max."
"Tonight, do you want to have dinner with me and my family?"
Jade's forehead creased with a confused smile. "Vampires eat human food? Is that what you mean for our dinner?" Jade asked.
"I haven't told you that we can certainly eat normal human food. At least get used to it when we're around humans. Well, that's how it is," Max explained.
"Wow! I'm impressed! Of course, I would, Max."
"Then let me take your car. I'll pick you up later."
Jade nodded happily. Then soon the car stopped in front of the campus which was already crowded with friends who were still relaxed until the bell rang.
This time Max took the initiative to kiss her. The kiss was long enough for a car crash to startle Jade. Yeah, Carla and Kesha appeared with meaningful smiles.
Max wasn't surprised at all because he already knew of their presence and even more deliberately deepened the kiss when the crash occurred.
"I think my friends are calling," Jade said breathlessly.
"All right, you may come out, my dear."
"I love you, Max."
"I love you more."
Jade got out of the car with the smile she gave Max. He waved his hand until his girlfriend left with her friends.
Max immediately left the campus area and returned to his house. But halfway to his house, a couple of vampires stood in the middle of the deserted street he was passing.
Max's jaw clenched as he saw who he had bumped into by accident. He got out of the car quickly and faced them.
"Well, well, well ... a human, huh? Are you dating her so you can get to drink her blood without killing anyone else?" asked Greg, the male vampire who was his enemy.
"If we look at him, it seems so. Maximillian looks so fresh since he was with his new girlfriend," said Berlin, the vampire girl, Greg's girlfriend.
"What's the matter with me?" Max asked without answering Greg's question.
Greg and Berlin looked at each other with their red eyes. They smiled at Max who they thought Max didn't know what he was doing.
"Maximillian ... You are dating the daughter of a vampire hunter! A vampire hunter who oppresses some vampires, our nation! Are you trying to reveal yourself to that old man through his daughter, huh?!" asked Greg in such a high-pitched voice.
"Greg, I'm not as stupid as you think. If that's all you want to say, then you have nothing to worry about. So don't get in my way."
When Greg was about to block him, Max immediately blocked it quickly. His right hand went straight into his chest right at his heart.
Greg grimaced and couldn't move. While Berlin tries to help her boyfriend, Max's left-hand does the same to Berlin.
They both feel pain. There was only one move Max would make, both of them were annihilated.
"I swear! If you try to harm me, or my girlfriend I will easily take your heart and stomp on it!" threatened Max.
"Aaaa ... let ... go!" groaned Greg.
"You know Greg, even if you're my enemy, I can't hand you over to that vampire hunter!" Max said to Greg.
"Max ... pl-please!" This time Berlin pleaded.
Max pulled his hands together and they both fell. Both of Max's hands were bleeding, but he managed not to destroy them, he just made a threat.
"I'm quicker to move and find out, Greg. So stop trying that you're the one who knows best!"
Max got back in the car and left the two of them alone. His hands were covered in blood, he left until he got home, he just cleaned them.

The school was over sooner than Jade had expected. At least she still had time at her house to get ready and ask Zack for permission.
Jade got into the car as soon as she saw Max was waiting for her.
"How was school today?" Max asked with a smile.
"Good. I mean, nothing's good. How about you?"
Max just smiled and drove off-campus. "I didn't go to school, Jade. But I missed you."
Jade's cheeks reddened. Although the cold overcame her, hearing her boyfriend's words made her cheeks turn red like she was using blush on.
"I missed you too. By the way, come on, let's go to the woods. I want to kiss you there, Max."
"Why woods?" asked Max.
"Because I think that place is the best place to kiss. And I want you to kiss me there for quite a long time. Or, if you don't want to start, let me do it. Just kiss, no sex. I promise I won't ask for more, Max."
