Kayden's POV
Hearing shuffles around the house, I tried to find the source of the sound only to find Yuki stepping into the room while carrying a tray with a bowl on top of it.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up" he spoke out soft, and I blinked a few more times, eyes trying to focus on him who had made his way towards me now.
He took a seat at the edge of the bed after safely placing the tray on the nightstand, and I turned my hurting body on the bed slowly to face him.
"Yuki? What are you doing here?" staring at the omega, I still admired his beauty despite the frequent meetings.
Yuki meant snow in Japanese.
And the Yuki in my room at this exact moment lived up to his name very well.
He had a very fair skin, almost as pale as snow, but with rosy cheeks and lips, making him look so ethereal. But what made him stood out even more was his choice of clothing which turned out to be almost all black every time.
Just like now, he wore a simple plain black hoodie that seemed to be too big for his size, and I knew immediately that the hoodie belonged to Taylor.
"Can you sit up?" he asked, examining my condition a bit before his eyes went back to focus on me, and I tried to get up only to have my mouth let out a grunt to express the excruciating pain I felt at the movement I made.
"With a little help, please?" holding in the pain the best I could, Yuki scooted closer and softly grabbed my hand before getting up, and gently helped me sat up. He placed an extra pillow to support my back, and I heard him let out a small sigh as he observed me again.
"Damn, he's ruthless as always," he commented with low voice, hands busy getting a foldable small table by the bedside and opened the table in front of me, and I tried giving a helping hand at which did not worked really well since I could barely lift my hands to reach out for the table.
"It's not his fault. He's in rut, Yuki" I smiled small, wanting to defend my alpha even though Jay would never knew, and Yuki squinted his eyes, looking at me in disbelief at the words that just left my mouth.
I guessed that he's kind of mad that I defended Jay.
I kind of understand, but I couldn't help it.
Jay's my alpha whether he liked it or not.
And I have accepted that.
"It won't be this bad if he marked you, Kayden. You won't be in this much pain," he spouted the fact, and I could only bit down my lip without a comeback when he said that.
We went quiet for a short second while Yuki proceeded placing the bowl on the table, serving it for me, and the smell of the freshly made porridge do be making my appetite increased.
"Did it really feel different after being marked?" looking at Yuki who was currently giving his focus to cool down the porridge as he gave small stirs inside the bowl, the question suddenly popped up in my mind and it seemed that I had blurted it out loud, making the omega raised one of his eyebrows at me with a smirk decorating his lips.
"You mean the sex? Or after that?" his smirk stayed on his lips, and I felt my cheeks heating up, making me brought up my hands to cup my face, embarrassed for suddenly being asked that kind of question from another omega.
"After that, the next morning, like me right now," muffling the answer into my palms, Yuki scoffed soft before the smirk from his lips loosened up, and what's left on his face now was a small pretty smile.
"The body hurt still, but not your heart, Kay. You'd feel content, not feeling like an empty shell. After being able to tend to your mate's rut, you'd smile, not cry yourself to sleep," he said slow, but at every sentence he spoke brought a stab to my heart since I had never experience any of the good side after tending to Jay's rut.
"I didn't cry," mumbling it out with a small pout on my face, Yuki only smiled before he flicked my forehead.
"Those puffy eyes can't hide shit, Kayden" he pointed his fingers to my eyes making me turn around to find any mirror close to me, and felt my cheeks reddening again after being exposed by the omega.
I forgot that I cried before falling back to sleep during the time Taylor came to visit.
"Are they that bad?"
"We'll apply warm towel later and they'll get better. Now eat, can you hold the spoon or do I need to feed you this porridge?" he offered the wooden spoon to me and I took it from his hand, glad that Yuki didn't continue talking about my swollen eyes.
"I'd be able to feed myself. Thanks for cooking this, I love your porridge so much," feeling my stomach grumbling, I did realize how hungry I was after every session.
Jay's rut took almost all my energy out of me due to how intense each session were, and the next day I would always ate a lot to replenish all the energy that had left out my body from the previous night.
"Then try to finish it, you're losing weight every time I see you," Yuki commented as I ate the first spoon of porridge, and I nodded, happily agreed to finish this flavorful food without hesitant.
And despite having sore throat, I finished that one bowl of porridge without a problem, and Yuki just chuckled at my appetite.
"Is it that good?" he asked, taking a seat by my side after he helped collect all the dirty clothes that was scattered around the house to be cleaned.
"You know how well you cook, Yuki" I took the tissue that Yuki passed to me and wiped the edge of my mouth that was stained after gulping down all the content directly from the bowl, while he took away the empty bowl from my hand.
"I'm glad you like it," he cleaned up the table without much comment, and I just smiled with a small thanks leaving my mouth.
"So, movie time?" he waved the remote in his hand after he put away the dirty dish to the kitchen, and my eyes sparkled at the suggestion, feeling my mood being lifted with just that.
"Yes!"
A movie time with a bestie is the best!
