“A year.” Janasca confirmed, lacing her fingers and placing them above her mouth. “Taking some time off to develop or contextualize my faith is a benefit several veteran paladins can take advantage of. It may be a bit...” She clicked her tongue. “Unorthodox, given my rank. But at this point I think even my more mulish superiors think I need to reevaluate my life and dedication.” 


Alexander sat down, a look of consternation beginning to appear on his face. “Forgive my saying so, but you don’t strike me as a person who would abandon her career.”
