Chapter 27: Possibilities

Alexander knew, logically, that it was best that he stayed at the inn as much as possible. No one knew when trouble would come their way and Janesca could her get her research done earlier since she didn't have to keep an eye on him.

But there was only so much entertainment to be had in single room. He had counted their inventory several times over, and playing with dice was only entertaining within the first hour. Most of his time was spent playing with knives, twirling them through his fingers and throwing them in the air on a few occasions. It was a dangerous pastime, to be sure, and he a few minor cuts on his hands to show for it.
