Chapter 31: He Does Not Like the Horse

When Aleander returned with Raymond in tow, Janesca found herself looking at the two with a relieved smile on her face. It looked like she was suffering from a bit of nervousness, with the dirt path blow her feet being the unfortunate victim to her unease. It even sported a few new skid marks, courtesy of metal boots that were more comfortable sliding on the ground as opposed to actually lifting themselves to walk.

He would never accuse Janesca of dragging her feet, he found it ironic that she did just that when she was restless and had some downtime.

He found himself giving a small smile in return, finally feeling like their journey could finally get underway in earnest. But he cannot say Raymond felt the same. The unicorn never took his eyes off of Chestnut, glaring at him in a way that made even his looks toward Janesca seem tame by comparison.
