Chapter 32: An Inept Rider and Shooter

Riding a unicorn bareback was....an experience, to say the least. Clinging onto him for fear of falling off, his ride largely consisted of long dashes and minute long stalls as Raymond found himself incapable of maintaining pace with Chestnut.

Raymond’s superior speed was always known, but it became really apparent when he seemed to exert little effort in overtaking the horse’s continual sprint. It was almost like riding a motorcycle, with winds lashing at Alexander’s face every time Raymond put himself into motion.

He didn’t even open his eyes half of the time, with each attempt to do so immediately turning into a regret when debris continued to hit his eyes. He had expected that riding Raymond would be accompanied by hours of languid sightseeing, taking in the surrounding environments at his own languid pace as he let Raymond carry him wherever he wished. But with each rapid movement practically necessitating closed eyes, he found himself wishing that he had some goggles.
