Chapter 03

A private driver had picked up Bramantara and Dreena under Aiden's orders.

"Mr & Mrs. Kafeel, please." Said Khair as he opened the car door. Bramantara then replied to him with a warm smile.

Yes, this was what Bramantara Kafeel looked like. Apart from a handsome face, the firm lips on his face always put on a warm smile.

This attitude was passed down to Calvino Luz Kafeel. In stark contrast to his sister Calista Earle Kafeel, who never smiled even once.

"Increase the speed!" Bramantara ordered Khair, and at the same time, the car drove at such high speed.

Not long after, the car that took them away had arrived at the main gate of Luz Mansion. The bodyguards who guarded the door immediately informed the head of the bodyguard that Mr & Mrs. Kafeel had arrived.

Everyone was immediately spry, and in a blink of an eye, the bodyguards and maids were lined up neatly under Aiden's order to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Kafeel.

"Welcome, Mr & Mrs. Kafeel." Said Aiden while bowing.

Without saying anything, Bramantara glanced at Aiden to follow him into the workroom and then glanced at his beloved wife.

"There's something I need to talk to Aiden about. So, you can go straight to the room first, okay?" Dreena nodded at his words, combined with a soft caress on her husband's stout arm.

Bramantara and Aiden were immersed in a conversation about the development of the Luz Company. And Aiden's explanation had made the smile on his firm lips keep growing wider.

"You're fortunate to have a son like Mr. Calvino."

"Hmmmm."

"At a relatively young age, Mr. Calvino has been able to develop Luz Company to open branches everywhere."

'It's because he's my son and inherited my abilities.' Bramantara thought proudly.

It has been long enough that they have been immersed in conversation. The two of them didn't even notice the approaching footsteps.

"What are you talking about that you don't want to involve me, hum?"

Suddenly, the baritone voice that came suddenly jolted both of them, especially Bramantara.

"Hi, Vin. Come here!"

While stretching his arms, Calvino immediately burst into a typical male hug.

"How are you?" Bramantara asked.

"As you see. How about you, Dad?"

Bramantara answered with a warm smile combined with a rough stroke on the top of Calvino's head.

"I haven't seen Kenan since I arrived. Where is he?"

"Kenan..." Calvino paused, combined with the corner of his eye glancing at Aiden to quickly leave the room. And after Aiden left, Calvino immediately led his father to sit on the long sofa.

"What's wrong, Vin? Did something happen?" Bramantara asked while squinting his eyes at his son's face, who was seen carrying a heavy burden.

"Kenan is currently in Indonesia."

Bramantara gasped. "What is he doing in Indonesia? What's the matter there? How about your sister? Is she okay?"

"That's the problem, Dad. Your daughter is very stubborn. She always gets herself into danger. And now, she's dealing with a very cunning man who also has a criminal record."

"How did she get involved with such a man?" Bramantara asked in a high tone.

"All this because of a woman named Kiara Larasati," Calvino replied as he clenched his jaw.

Bramantara immediately narrowed his eyes until his brow furrowed. "Who is Kiara Larasati? And … what does she have to do with your sister?"

In the end, the real story was exposed, but Calvino didn't tell him about the big scandal. The big scandal was a disgrace for Calvino, and he didn't want to reveal someone's disgrace, especially if the person was a woman. After all, women have the highest throne in his life.

"Then you must go to Indonesia. I can't rest well if your sister is in danger. After all, we haven't been able to cripple our greatest enemy. We don't want things to get even more difficult with new problems."

"If you think this is the best choice, I will arrange a departure to Indonesia tomorrow."

"Thank you, Vin," said Bramantara, combined with a gentle tap on his son's shoulder.

"No need to thank me, Dad. I don't like it."

Bramantara only responded to him with a smile.

Conversation after conversation just flowed so that the two handsome men forgot that Dreena was already waiting for their arrival in the dining room.

Not wanting to wait too long, Dreena immediately gave orders to Dzamira to summon the two of them.

Not long after, footsteps approached. Dreena immediately turned her face into a smile. "Where have you been, Vin? Don't you miss your Mom, hum? And is your talk with your Dad about business more important? Pathetic!" Dreena was upset.

"Nothing is more important than you, Mom."

"Really? But you're even more interested in seeing your Dad than me, aren't you?"

"It's not like that, Mom."

"Yeah, whatever."

Not wanting to upset the precious woman in his life, Calvino immediately showered his mother with warm hugs mixed with kisses.

"Of course, I miss you, Mom. I really miss you. It's just that Da said that you were still taking a bath. Isn't that right, Dad?" Calvino stared sharply at his father, demanding Bramantara's approval to justify his words immediately.

"Yes, yes, that's true."

'What a bad boy. How could he make me lie in front of my beloved wife?' Bramantara continued in his heart.

Undoubtedly, Dreena immediately growled, annoyed with her husband's attitude, which she thought was too outrageous. How could her husband say such things to Calvino? How could he not know if she really missed her beloved son?

"Don't be angry, honey. I'm not wrong. At first, I thought you were indeed taking a shower because you had traveled a long way. Well then, let's just start eating dinner. It's a pity that this handsome one is starving. Right, Vin?" He glanced at Calvino.

"Hm, Dad is absolutely right, Mom. I'm starving after a long day at work."

"Hmmm, alright."

By now, the Kafeel family had dinner without saying a single word. And the only sound that could be heard was the taste of pleasure from chef Parviz's best dishes as Calvino Luz Kafeel's personal chef.

After eating dinner, the Kafeel family members moved into the standard room and engaged in the heated conversation that drowned them until they didn't realize that the clockwise direction was already pointing at 01 in the morning.

"We should get some rest."

Calvino immediately agreed to Bramantara's suggestion. At the same time, he immediately got up from the sofa and approached Dreena.

"Goodnight, Mom." He kissed his Mom's cheeks.

"Goodnight too," Dreena answered, followed by Bramantara.
