Chapter 23

"Kenan, to my room!" Calvino orders by telephone.

"Yes, sir." Kenan walked towards the elevator, which would lead to the building next to the office. The structure resembles an apartment that billionaires like Calvino Luz Kafeel only own.

That's why many beautiful women fight each other to win the heart of a Calvino. They want to enjoy his wealth.

And being a Calvino lover can make women live luxuriously, have lots of money, have branded goods, and travel the world.

However, no woman can steal the heart of a Calvino except the woman in the past, Samara. Also, the woman of the future, Kiara Larasati.

Calvino sat on the sofa reading a magazine and accompanied by a glass of green tea latte. When he heard the footsteps, he stopped what he was doing and turned his gaze to Kenan. "Please sit." His chin pointed at the sofa in front of him.

"Good evening, sir." Kenan bowed before sitting his buttocks on the sofa.

"When is the meeting with Mr. Emran scheduled?"

"The day after tomorrow, sir."

"Schedule tomorrow."

"But, sir..."

"I don't like being denied, understand?" Calvino's voice was sharp, also with his gaze. Kenan's body shivered with fear. "Okay, sir. I will schedule the meeting for tomorrow." His voice trembled

"Good, please return to your room."

"I have something to tell you, sir."

"About?" Calvino grabbed the magazine back.

"It's about Miss Lena."

Too lazy to talk about that woman. Calvin took a deep breath. "What's with that woman? Did he contact you?"

"Yes, and she asked me to prepare the jet for her flight to Dubai."

Calvino slams the magazine onto the table. His gaze turned serious. "When?"

"Tomorrow."

Calvin's eyes narrowed. "Tomorrow?"

Kenan nodded.

Calvino rubbed his face roughly.

"What should I do? Do I have to prepare for Miss Lena's departure tomorrow?"

Calvino looked at Kenan with an unreadable gaze. Suddenly his cell phone rang, showing the name Lenata, the woman he hated so much for now.

It's hard to talk to that woman. Calvino ignored her calls.

Kenan reminded. "Your cell phone is ringing, sir."

"I know."

Suddenly Kenan's phone rang. "Sir, Miss Lena called me."

"Tell her that she's coming to Dubai was in vain."

Ken narrowed his eyes. "Sorry, sir. Do you mean? Can you explain in detail?"

"Tell her I'm out of the country indefinitely."

"Then what if Miss Lenata still insists on coming?"

"Ignore it."

"All right, sir. Excuse me." Kenan bowed before leaving his master's room.

Calvino leaned his head back on the sofa, staring at the ceiling. He thought of the woman. "Is my attitude of yours fair to him? Oh, of course not. She pisses me off."

Suddenly Calvino's cell phone rang, and it was Lenata who called.

Once again, Calvino was reluctant to talk to the woman, so he ignored her calls.

Calvino rubbed his face roughly. "If you reduce your excessive jealousy. Maybe our relationship will be fine. But, unfortunately, whatever I explain never makes you believe that I'm not having an affair."

And once again, his cell phone rings. Finally, too fed up, Calvino turned off his phone.

Calvino is a portrayal of a man with the worst emotions. If his heart is hurt, then his heart is tough to melt. So even though the woman was kneeling at his feet, it would not be able to erase his disappointment.

Calvino got up from his seat, walked to the glass window, and looked at the pedestrians and the passing cars below.

"What's bothering you to ignore my arrival, hm?" The voice that came suddenly had forced Calvino to turn his head. His eyes sparkled. "Dad." Walk over to him and hug him tightly.

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming to visit?"

Bram immediately narrowed his eyes until his brow furrowed. "Does my arrival bother you?"

"Of course not. If you tell me, I can pick you up." Calvino looked around, "Um, is Mom coming along?"

"Yes, mom's downstairs and talking to Kenan."

Calvin gasped. "Talk to Kenan?"

"Hmmm."

"Discussing matters, Earl."

"Hm, your guess is right." Bram grabbed the magazine lying on the table. He looks focused on reading the magazine and then sets his sights on his son. "Business development in Dubai is excellent. How about you open a new branch?"

"I have no want to think about it."

Bram slammed the magazine on the table and leaned forward with a severe face. "Don't waste your chance. If you are overwhelmed with managing Luz Company, I will send trained people to help you."

Calvino took a deep breath and then rubbed his face roughly. "For now, I don't want to open a branch because-"

"Say." Cut Bramantara quickly.

Calvino stared intently at his father. I want to go to Indonesia and meet Miss Kiara in person. But, first, I have to make sure she is Samara or not?

Understanding the son's gaze, Bram was sure that the son was having quite a complicated problem.

"What's the matter, Vin? Is the Luz Company having a problem?" he asked, scrutinizing his son's face and trying to find the truth.

"Nothing. Everything is under control."

"Then what problem are you having?"

"Nothing. All is well."

Once again, Bram leaned forward with a look full of intimidation. "Listen carefully. You could say that everything is fine. But not with your gaze. Your gaze says something different."

"It's just your feeling."

"And this feeling is never wrong, Calvino Luz Kafeel. So all of this must have something to do with your last trip to Indonesia, right?"

Hearing the word Indonesia, Calvino's eyes widened. And increasingly convinced Bram that his guess was correct. "Dad wasn't wrong, right?"
