Chapter 13: Hailing Cove

As the village became closer with each step they made, Damon’s excitement grew—not for why they were there, but for some real rest in some place other than the ground.

They cut through the open meadow, meeting the local bridge that connected with the town. The rays from the sun shone down on a sign planted in the grass, reading: ‘Welcome to Hailing Cove.’

By this time, it was early morning, and most of the residents were bustling around, fulfilling their daily duties. Each house and building looked similar in structure and design, with pointed triangle roofs, and a stone facade. Greenery prospered within the landscape, with some homes having vines and shrubbery attached to their bodice; and underneath the bridge was a flowing stream of water, with a wealthy number of plants tending to it.
